Japanese students on a field trip at the House of Councilors are given facemasks and hand disinfectant before they enter. With the hope of stopping the spread of swine flu, the government office has prepared facemasks for every one of the 3,000 people who visit each day. Meanwhile in the US, fear of contracting the illness is at an all-time low.

i am despising the over-use of the term "oh snap"
1tres has killed it for me
My husband was just in Japan and before they were allowed to get off the plane, a team of people got on the plane and tooks every single passenger's temperature. crazy!
2Americans have no time to think about swine flu. We're all invincible anyway. Every time someone comes into my office coughing all over the place I think about it briefly. What are you going to do about it though? If it's gonna happen it's gonna happen.
3I hate the "oh snap" term as well...
Is this trying to copy the "Snap Judgement" on Jezebel?
4There are new cases of swine flue in Tokyo today, and more deaths. Kinda hard to forget when you live in a smaller country.
