Becoming a donor is probably your only chance of getting inside her.
Some organizations in support of worthy causes seem to think that it's OK to create sexist ads to get their message across. (Yes, PETA, I'm referring to you, too.) Take this Dutch (?) ad in support of organ donation. Is it really OK to use this sprawled woman as sexual enticement? The ends don't justify the means, if you ask me. This is just lazy and lame.

Yuck, yuck, yuck.
1I agree. It's not really convincing me to become an organ donor.
2Oh yeah, the thought of having my kidney inside her turns me on...are they serious?
Why don't they show some people who went on to great things thanks to a life saving organ donation?
3EUCH.
4There are some things sex shouldn't sell.
5Nope, not a good ad at aall.
6I agree, I think it's gross, but Europeans are known for being more risque than Americans. Not surprised...
7lack of creativity and followthrough
8maybe currently men give less than women...
9That's horrible.
10I think that it's funny and anything which creates awareness to a VERY important cause has my vote. (My little sister was saved by an organ donor. I wouldn't care how that person came to the choice, just that they did.)
11Okay... I thought this was awesome... and everyone I showed it to laughed... I'm sorry I'm a horrible human female.
12Megn, I don't think you're a horrible female at all! I also thought it was a pretty hilarious ad, but then I'm rarely if ever offended by "sexist" things. I don't feel objectified by the fact that men think the female form is sexy and attractive and beautiful, and that the female form can be used to entice men to do things. I happen to think my form is downright glorious; and I recognize that men do too.
Regardless of whether you like it or not, the ad served it's purpose - people are talking about it and thus thinking about the topic of organ donation (or at least, the seed's been planted). It's effective if nothing else.
13yeah, i didn't even think it was sexist until i was told by a bunch of feminists that it was
it's fun. it was intended to be funny and controversial.
14Yuck and double yuck.
15i don't view this as sexist one bit.... it's definitely controversial. doesn't sit too well with me... but i just hate the whole 'sex sells' thing full stop.
but i still have my organ donor card in my purse regardless.
if it gets people talking- it's a successful advert- even if it's people complaining about it, it's still raising awareness.
16Not sexist, but sort of sick...gives me the heebie jeebies
17This is completely odd. Sex = organ donation? Missing kidney = orgasm? WTF? While I do think this is hilarious to some extent, it is also completely in poor taste! I'm pretty sure the people who are sick enough to need a new organ don't look quite that sexy anyway.
18Yeah.... I agree with the heebie jeebies all the way.... It's like some guy is going to donate a kidney and then fantasize about the "hot chick" who received his kidney.... Not that anyone would do that, but it puts that scenario in my head. Who knows, there are some sickos out there.
19the feminist in me is crying...
20men just want to be inside of us?
Mmk. this makes me want to take my name OFF the official registry.
21I try not to think of where my kidneys will go....
This reminds me of that episode of Friends where Chandler is interning at the Advertising Firm and has to come up with an ad for some shoes; and the other interns commercials include hot women in bikinis, and the boss is like, the shoes aren't even in the ad. lol.
Anyway, I don't really care if that's what they use to promote it - even though I agree it's way lazy! and the tagline is disgustingly raunchy (kids could read that)!- but an ad that drew attention from everyone, rather than just straight men, might help the cause more.
22society uses women's bodies to sell EVERYTHING shoes to cars to music, like WE'RE the object they want to sell, not whatever merchandise they're hawking. they just resorted to the same old paradigm here. is it any wonder women are so objectified and thought of more as commodities then full human beings? we are more then our bodies and the sexual titillation they provide men.
allyta-ugh. stop trying to go out of your way to make it seem as though feminists find fault with everything that's sexually provocative. when something screams sexism and objectification like this ad does, there's nothing wrong with having a pointing it out.
23That was so tasteless it made me laugh.
24I think it's hilarious and not sexist in the least. Or, if you want to say it's sexist, it's equally so against both genders (women are picky and hot! Men like sex!). I don't know why feminists get so up in arms about the female body. I'm fat, but I have a nice shape regardless (it's just a little thick) and I'm damn proud. Being sexy is powerful.
The only thing I don't like about the whole "sex sells" thing is the fact that our culture regards education about sex as a big taboo, same with safe sex practices, and being proud of your sexuality (whatever it may be). I think our culture needs to catch up with the times and not counter sexy ads with "ewwwwww sexist!" but more "our advertising and our media culture is embracing sexuality, perhaps our educational system and social culture should do the same".
