It may look awkward typed out, but doesn't "fauxcialite" just roll off the tongue? At least it does when Chuck Bass utters it in last night's episode of Gossip Girl. As explained in the clip below, a fauxcialite is someone who fancies the finer things in life, attends the right parties, and seeks out moneyed mates but isn't actually rich — only pretending.

I'd love to start throwing this word around. Of course, it would help if I knew more fauxcialites, or socialites for that matter. How about you?

At first, I thought it said 'fauxcilitate', as in 'pretending to, but not really facilitating something', but at second glance I realized I had misread it. So there, I coined the fabulous word 'fauxcilitate', which I will be using eagerly from now on.
1'Fauxcialite', on the other hand, is not a good word. It's some elitist BS, if you ask me.
i prefer using the term "$60,000 millionaire"
2Fauxcilitate is a great word, Rouge Noir!
3I love anything that comes out of Chuck Bass's lips
4Thank you, nancita. Feel free to use it in one or more sentences. Fauxcilitation is for the people!
