Spring was bringing Jon Stewart a renewed sense of hope until swine flu hit . . . the cable news cycle. As if the recession, two wars, and massive deficit spending wasn't enough!
Last night on The Daily Show, Jon noted that swine flu has killed 149 people in Mexico so far — making it last on the list of things that can kill you in Mexico. Leave it to a comedy show to put things in perspective.
Watch the clip during which Jon documents the swine flu scare-off happening right now on the news. That includes exaggerated graphics, estimates that tens of millions could die, and mentions of bioterrorism for good measure. I think Jon gets a little freaked out by the end of the montage.

with the millions of people in Mexico, and to panic for a virus that is not mortal... and that 150 deaths cause not by the virus, but by respiratory problems that had been or not been caused by the virus...
there are 100 ways of die in a City that is so crowded... bullet flu, car flu, a tons of people flu, earthquakes flu...
