If you've been called on to plan a bachelorette party, you probably want to make it very memorable for the bride to be. But making the fun effortless requires a lot of effort beforehand! Here are some tips on how to prepare a night out on the town or a weekend getaway to celebrate a loved one's impending marriage!
- Get the bride's expectations regarding: location, guest list, exotic dancers (are they banned or encouraged?).
- Set a date: Send an email to the guests with a couple suggested dates, and settle on one that works for most.
- Do some research: If you're traveling, find an affordable hotel and think about keeping prices down by sharing rooms. Think about calling a club you plan to attend ahead of time, so you can get on the guest list.
- Set a budget: Based on what you found, estimate the cost. Make sure everyone is on the same page. Talking money can be awkward, but it's much better to be upfront so everyone can be carefree later.
- Pool your resources for perks: Does your friend's uncle own a restaurant? Does your co-worker own a limo service? Call in any favors.
- Make the plans: Send out invitations. If it's a getaway, send an email itinerary with all the crucial information and include links for more information.
- Get people excited before the day: Forward fun reviews about the hotel you're staying in. Email an online slideshow of pictures of the bride and her friends throughout the years.
- Have fun! Once the party begins get everyone in the right spirit by enjoying the party yourself!

the tip you forgot? don't overplan! the biggest event should be the wedding, and the bachelorette party should be a laidback way to celebrate the bride and celebrate girlfriends
1I am so sick of hearing about weddings. Seriously, so sick of it. When I get married I think it'll be in the off season just so that people don't have to feel stabby every time they hear the word wedding.
2I'm going to a bachelorette party next month that will have a stripper class! Much better than watching a sweaty, sketchy male dancer, in my opinion. The class is private and can be cheap with enough girls, and will be totally goofy and fun.
3I second the advice about calling the club ahead. The last bachelorette party I went to, we couldn't get into the club because we weren't on the list and had too many people, so we ended up wandering the streets like a bridal parade until we found another, less busy place, which was playing a video of the Sports Illustrated swimsuit girls on loop - better for a bachelor party I think!
4Hello everyone,
I saw the article about weddings and I think it is great that romance is still very much alive. I know so many people who don’t really believe in getting married, they say they don’t need a piece of paper to show they are committed to each other. I think it is such an important, special day for any couple when they announce an engagement. My friend just got engaged and she is worrying about the costs! So when she told me she was going to save money on the little things I thought this was a great idea. She decided to send out e-Cards to spread the word of her engagement, and I have to admit the one she chose is amazing! She told me all about a site that allows you to send free engagement e-Cards. I think it is a great idea, a modern twist on a paper greeting. This means she has more money to spend on her dress! Hope this info helps! Good Luck to everyone getting married!
