Who knew Meghan McCain's columns on the Daily Beast were really just practice for her upcoming book? The 24-year-old daughter of John McCain has scored a six-figure book deal.
Meghan's already a published author. She penned a children's book about her father's life last year. And she was a blogette during the presidential campaign.
Meghan's been offering her perspective on a range of topics, including how the Republican Party can become relevant again and the never-ending criticism of women's bodies in the media. Will you read her latest musings?

I'm definitely curious! Although, I might check it out of the library.
1Probably not.
2Maybe. I'd be a libraray pick though. Not a buy.
3Nope
4Doubt it. She bears a striking resemblance to Diane Kruger in this picture.
5I didn't vote because there was no maybe. Then again I don't find her that interesting so...
6No. She never says anything substantive.
7The captions on her blog photos are barely interesting, so probably not...
8Not really. Maybe when it's reached the Dollar store bin... oh I can always google her blog too if I'm curious about her.
9no.i don't think she is interesting so i wouldn't waste my money buying her book.
10Maybe if she stated what she actually believes. I think she feels the need to conform to her parent's beliefs, and hides how she truly feels. She only registered as a Republican for Father's Day, because her father was running for President.
11It's fun for a McCain supporter to see that edge that her father has reflected in a new and fresh way. Good for her.
12Meghan McCain is edgy....how?
13"I think she feels the need to conform to her parent's beliefs, and hides how she truly feels. She only registered as a Republican for Father's Day, because her father was running for President. "
Really?
14Well, she really did it on Father's Day and her Dad was really campaigning, but of course we can't get in her head to know her real motives.
But to be honest, has she ever really talked about why she's a Republican? I have read some of her "articles" and seen her on shows and the most conservative thing she seems to say is that she loves the Republican party.
15So does that automatically make her not a Repubican, or conservative? I would consider her what she is registered, until she comes forward to say otherwise.
16I'm not saying she's not a Republican. But for all the talking she does, she doesn't speak much about conservative values: smaller government, lower taxes, free markets, etc. Which makes it easy for me to see why someone might wonder why she registered with the party in the first place.
17I sort of feel the same way about her feeling the need to support her father's beliefs and ideals.
She strikes me as a bit of an airhead because when she speaks (and writes), nothing of any real substance comes out. One possible reason for this is that she doesn't necessarily agree with the things her father says, but wants to be there for him. So it's all fluff.
I would be curious to see if she sounds any more intelligent when she starts talking about the things that SHE cares about.
