When the weekend arrives, I instantly transform into chill mode. I sleep in and take my time around the house, and it feels like I seldom get out of my sweatpants until it's time to go out at night. I run errands in my sweats, I shop in my sweats, I even go out to lunch in my sweats. My plans, of course, dictate my outfit, but I'm curious to know where you stand on staying in your loungewear on the weekend. Is it something you do, too, or do your sweats make you feel less productive?

It makes me feel gross if I'm in sweats all day. I enjoy looking nice most days. However, I do have days where I just want to wear pajamas all day, and that's great too!
No way! I treat my weekends like regular days...I get up, work out, shower, get dressed, and run errands and get stuff done at home. Whenever I stay in sweats all day, I feel like a giant slug and nothing gets accomplished.
Usually I only wear sweats when I'm doing something casual, regardless of what day it is (going to the movies late at night, hanging out with friends, running to the grocery store, etc.). Overall I'm not opposed to wearing sweats all weekend - if that's what you want to do, I say go for it.
I refuse to leave the house in what I lounge around in. It feels so gross. I'll step outside, but I won't go to a public place. Wearing pajama stuff all weekend if you're staying it home is OK, but still kind of nasty.
If I'm staying in I'll stay in pajamas or sweats, but otherwise I'll at least throw on a pair of jeans. Jeans that fit look much nicer than baggy loungewear and are not very hard to put on.
Depends on what I'm doing on the weekends. Mostly, it's cleaning the flat, so sweats it is. Running small errands, like going to the bakery, or the fruit/veggie store - still in my sweats, but that's because those people over there know me.
If something "bigger" is coming up I put on some real clothes. No way I'd go out to lunch in my lounge wear.
I have nothing against people who wear this all the time...they often look like they are on their way or coming from yoga class. I just couldn't do it myself.
on the weekends i live in my lounge clothes!! i usually don't get out of my pj's unless i'm going out to run an errand (i live by the matto to dress like you're going to run into your worse enemy..you want to look great!!) on the weekends it'a all about sleeping in and relaxation!!
If I'm lounging in it, I don't go out in it. But there have been times when I stayed in the apartment all day with my PJ's on.
I'm all for it! Sweats on the weekend...why not?
I work at home so I wear yoga pants pretty much every day. I can't leave the house in them. I feel weird even running to my car to grab something when I'm wearing them. Who knows.
As for actual sweat pants, you wouldn't catch me indoors or outdoors wearing those. They've always looked ridiculous on me.
I don't have to look productive on the weekends, so, yay loungewear!!! However, if I go somewhere more classy than the grocery store I will change.
I'm highly opposed to wearing loungewear in public. This probably stems from having to wear business clothes all week for my job and being thrilled to wear whatever I want on the weekends, but I would be embarrassed if I was in public looking like I just rolled out of bed! Plus, I like my pajamas to be clean and ready to sleep in.
My weekend uniform is yoga pants, a tank top and zip-up hoodie at home. I don't mind running to the store in that if I have to but I usually at least change into jeans if I can.
What's wrong with this?
I feel comfortable wearing sweats out in public. I looove wearing them... they look good on me.
I'm not opposed to being in them all weekend.
I never wear sweats out, butI will hang out at home in them on the weekend. However, if I have to do something like housework, or bills, I have to put my bra on. I can still be in sweats or PJ's, but I guess the bra means that I'm ready for business. No clue why.
Being a college student, I wear sweats all the time. All the girls on my campus do.
I will rarely leave the house in lounge pants. Sometimes, but I feel like it's allowing people to see me in a private state. But if I'm not leaving the house, oh yes will i stay in lounge pants or comfy shorts all day. Lounging around in jeans? Nah
I'm not even sure I *own* sweats.
Why is this in the Love/Sex section?
I workout, grocery shop care for my daughters and wear sweats, yoga pants... jeans etc and think I pretty much look hot!! my body is fit, I'm clean freshly showered unless running an errand on the way home from the gym.. and think it's fine. Being fit requires me fitting into my schedule making it a priority and my daughters needs come first... many days I work out while they are in preschool, pick them up feed them lunch and shower right away afterwards. I never feel that gross, and because I am not at a fancy job I have learned how to make the best w/o attire look good daily. loving my hot mama style,.. I saw a woman running by the lake yesterday in jeans.. it looked ridiculous (to say the least)!!!
You know what I love being in my sweats all day during the weekends. My weeks are so hectic that when it comes to the weekends I want to have my me time.
I have no problem lounging around in my sweats all day, AT HOME. if I am leaving the house, even just to go to the store, I get dressed. sweats are gross...
I'm in college, but I never wear loungewear outside. I did that during high school, and I don't know how I did it!
I don't really own sweatpants though -- my pants are more of just "sleep pants." I change into them as soon as I know I'm not going anywhere else for the rest of the day. If I change my mind, back into jeans I go.
I wear pjs or sweatpants all the time. I don't give a damn, I want to be comfortable. And besides, it makes it that much more special when I go out to the bars or for food!
sweatpants/pajamas all weekend (excluding the nights out). this is the story of my life.
of course, the weekends that I am not at home I am dressed in business attire friday-sunday for my debate tournaments, so i do the exact opposite when i get to stay home.
In high school I wore sweats everywhere. To school, out with friends, and at home. Now, I can't even bring myself to buy any. I want some for when I'm lounging at home but I feel like they're just so unattractive. Plus, if I bought them I might be tempted to wear them in public and that just doesn't work for me. I don't mind others running to the grocery store in sweats or something, but seeing people in actual PYJAMAS in public makes me cringe.
I'm happy to stay in my pj;s all weekend. But even if I'm dropping down to the shops I'll change out of my sweats. Ihate going out in my sweatpants. I feel like such a bogan when I do.
i have two sets of lunge clothes i wear at home: the ones i sleep in and the ones i wear around the house. they never mix. i'm against wearing your outside clothes inside. and i hate wearing a bra at home. i'm all for comfort. no shoes inside either. that's how people are brought up in my family (and pretty much everyone I knew in post USSR).
going out in public in sweats is a major no-no.
Some girls looking really cute in their sweats, and some, not so much. Personally, I only wear them in the house. I feel sloppy out in sweats.
Sweats just don't do much for me, when I'm in them they put me in a different frame of mind. Cheers to those who can stay productive in sweats!
im in my sweats right now and im about to run errands
I do feel that if I'm in sweats all weekend I'll feel more sluggish and unproductive. I put on my sweats or pajamas when I KNOW that I'm not going to be running more errands or going out for ANYTHING. I do enjoy lounging around in my sweats @ home, though!
If I'm not planning to go anywhere then I'll just wear sweats around the house. If I'm planning to go out, I'll wear my normal attire (jeans).
ok, that model is absolutely gorgeous and looks great in her lounge wear. if i'm in sweats it makes me less motivated to go out anywhere except the gym. it all depends on how i look in them too. if i had on a cute velour or terry sweatsuit or maybe a nice coordinated tracksuit i'd be more likely to strut my stuff than in my dumpy gym clothes.
Who cares as long as I am comfortable. I don't care what people think and some weekends I just don't care if I accomplish anything.
only on my one day off and if im indoors. but outside i put on pants on like everyone else. just cuz its the weekend doesnt make an excuse to look like a slob. lol
During the weekdays, I work have a very demanding job that requires long hours, so when the weekend comes, I live in my pjs. I need to relax and as long as I am in my pjs or sweats, I feel very mellow.
Why is it "nasty" to some ppl? I see nothing wrong with wearing loungewear out of the house. I do it all the time. Yes, even flannel pajamas. One thing do, for cleanliness, once I wear the PJs outside, I try not to climb back into bed with it.
I honestly don't see what the big deal about wearing sweats outside is. Being in sweatpants is a comfort thing for me and it doesn't really matter to me if I need to go out in them. Some weekends I wear sweatpants all weekend long unless I'm going out with friends or to dinner or the bar, and others I wear jeans. But I agree with seespotrun that it shouldn't be considered "nasty".
I usually wear a comfy dress or something. But my view on others wearing sweats out is to each their own.
BTW, I'd kill for the model in the picture's abs.
i wear sweats ALL the time
I will live in yoga pants and a tank top all day if I'm not going anywhere. But I refuse to leave the house in them, even if I'm just running to the store or walking the dog.
I'm always in pjs/yoga gear. I study at home all day, though, so it's really the only way I get things done.
I love my pjs! (I don't really wear the traditional sweats--my hubby asked me not to and it doesn't matter at all to me!) I try to be out of them by 10 am and don't let myself put them back on until after 6. Unless I'm sick or something....
I definitely go out in my pjs over the weekend ... it feels good to be dressed more casually than I can during the week.
I spent most of my weekend in lounge clothes! They're comfy! And yes sometimes I'll even go out in them
depends on where.
I often work about 80 hours per week, so by the time Saturday hits I'm in my gym clothes all day- clean ones, but gym clothes nonetheless.
