Remember the days when Hillary Clinton was "too divisive" to beat a Republican ticket for the White House?
Well it looks like her gig as secretary of state has given her a popularity boost. Her latest favorability rating comes in at 71 percent, besting Barack Obama's 64 percent approval rating. (Clinton 2012?)
Believe it or not, Hillary has actually won over a majority of Republicans. Perhaps lucky for Hillary, she's managed to avoid the tangled web of the economic crisis. But, she's still tackling tough problems, like the drug violence going down at the US-Mexico border. And she's already visited Asia, Europe, and the Middle East since taking office in January.
Do you approve of Madame Secretary's work as top diplomat?

So I guess roughly 70% of the population didn't hear about the embarrassing 'Overcharge' incident?
1Or the Mexico's crime rate and drug cartels are America's fault.
2And here I said she should have remained a Senator. What do I know?
3
Go Hillary!
4Go Hillary! And yeah the overcharge incident was embarrassing but it's too insignificant to outweigh her other work.
5Glad to see she's gaining in popularity. Some of the horrible things people say about her...
6"Some of the horrible things people say about her..."
Are true?
(Just finishing the sentence.)
7Genesis, I was mostly joking. Although honestly I'm not too sure of what she's accomplished since taking her new position.
8People "like" her now because she's not the President. She was also a popular and competent Senator. It's the idea of her in the White House that made her unpopular and divisive.
9the overcharge incident was kinda less important than the economic crisis and couldn't have been that bad lol, it barely made a blip on the radar. I love me some Hillary though
10Nyara, of course it was less important than the economy. But what has Hillary done about the economy?
11She's stayed well away from it lol which right now is a good idea since none of the politicians can do anything right when it comes to the economy.
12Sorry Mich, I was too wound up when I got home and missed the joke
13Don't worry about it, the joke wasn't a very good one.
14I am so happy that Hillary is doing a good job. She is a smart and capable person.
15I really hated how much the media bashed her during the elections. she was really beat down hard...Go Hillary!
16Maybe her popularity is climbing because she's pretty much been out of the country since Obama went in office. I like her better out of the country too.
17I think a big part of her popularity comes from people's dislike for Obama. (If that makes sense.) A lot of Republicans dislike Obama, so they look at Hillary and say she's a better alternative.
18Exactly what has she done? She looks good traveling around the world on our behalf but as far as I've read there has been no international crisis/incident that she has had to weigh in on. She's been able to stay out of the fray as far as the Obama budget/bailout fiasco so I guess in that regard, what's not to like?
19I like Clinton. She's a good choice for SoS. I would prefer she were our President.
"Believe it or not, Hillary has actually won over a majority of Republicans."
Not this republican.
20not this one ever.
21Nor this one.
22Me neither. But, this is better than if she'd been President.
