I'd love to have the space and all the help she has for my garden.
1Is it just me or did CS (Citizen Sugar not Carrie Sue
) just step off into a pile of
smut with 3/4 of these articles?
2Carrie, its definitely not "news"
3I can't get past the Joe the Plumber headline, but I think the CIA story is news, as is the military sexual assault problem.
4LOL, I am sure in that outfit she actually planted stuff, haha
5Git 'R Done...Joe!
6When Colbert is on, there is nobody better. Did you see the pretend rap he did for Steele? I missed it on tv but saw it here.
7Guess Joe the Plumber needs to join on with the CIA.
8Forget the vegetables, that Colbert rap should have been the headliner, in fact it should have its own post! Steele has to come on CR after that, it really entertaining!
9WHAT IS SHE WEARING?
10I know it's only a ground breaking ceremony but Micheal girl put on a flannel shirt some jeans and sneakers. She looked ridiculous shoveling up grass with her designer boots on.
As for the CIA's dirty secret once again it is the silence of the many that is just as unforgiving as the actions of the one.
11Oh please!!! The press can't wait to see MS O out in the yard look'n happy and nappy.
12I'm very happy about the White House Garden.
13I thought nappy was a racist term that is greatly frowned upon? Didn't someone call a women's basketball team nappy a couple of years back and it dragged up this whole racism debate?
As far as her outfit goes, I just think she's practicing her Ninja skills
Yay for the garden. Like Stephley I'd love to have the space and help for a garden here too!!
14"nappy" is the state of a sister's hair when she first wakes up...You have to be there. Kim I think your smart enough to know that any word can be hurtful depending on WHO says it!! I'm black and I said it!!!
15GKitty, yes I know what nappy means. I don't get why it's ok for some people to use racist words but not others. It is my belief that if a word is racist it's racist no matter who uses it. I think that's where alot of the division comes from.
16oh and that doesn't mean I'm right, it's just my belief. I realize that others see it differently.
17The remark was: "nappy headed h*" big difference.
18Nappy is the state of hair styles that are beautiful and natural it takes a lot of time and work, I ware my nappy hair with pride. Mr. Imus added the word HO, and that is what caused the fight!
19ok see that is different to me. Because I personally don't think nappy is a racist word, but I do know others who think it is. That was why I questioned it. I had forgotton that Mr. Imus had added that other lovely word to the mix in which case then it wasn't so much a racist comment as it was a sexist comment. And that kind of goes along with what I said earlier. Because he said it it's sexist (him being a man), but some think it's ok for women to call eachother hoe's (intentional misspelling on my part) and that's where I disagree. But then again I'm not much for name calling to begin with whether they're racist or sexist names or gender/race friendly names. So going back to the racist thing. If it's not ok for a white person to call a black person the "n" word, then blacks shouldn't call eachother that either. Just as it's not ok for a black person to call a white person honky or cracker or whatever, and it shouldn't be ok for whites to call eachother that either. Why do people have to call anyone names to begin with? Our our given names not sufficient? Or if we don't know the person, sir or ma'am? Is that not good enough? I guess I just don't get the mindset.
