Mmm, the announcement happened on my dad's birthday when I was 17, and exactly 7 days before my 18th birthday. (I remember it super clearly, I remember being terrified for all my friends going into the military when we graduated - a well founded fear) Did we really give Iraq overnight to prepare for our invasion? That seems like subpar military strategy.
