Poor, sexy James Franco. Don't these UCLA students know that the commencement speaker doesn't always have to have experience or anything interesting to say to be a commencement speaker? (Well, to be fair, it is his alma mater.) Sometimes, being hot is enough. That will radiate off the stage and give them good luck in all of their future endeavors. I choose to believe.

I was reading some of the comments on the facebook page and in my opinion those students were being a tad pretentious and seem to feel very entitled. What makes them so special that they have a top of the line commencement speaker? The college I went to, the year before I graduated the speaker dropped out last minute and some local news reporter had to do it.... so who cares? I hardly remember the name of the guy who did mine. I think he was president of GE or something. I really think that they'd whine regardless, the girl who started the group sounds like someone who'd complain about anyone short of Obama, Queen Elizabeth or Steve Jobs. Get over it.
4Dubalicious, I bet she'd be happy with Queen Elizabeth! Me? I'd be happy with James Franco. Especially for post-commencement followup questions, if you will...
5I think having a unique speaker for your commencement speaker would be something to get excited about. Sure, he's an actor, but he has unique life experience, and this is what would grab my attention. I cannot even remember who spoke at either of my graduations...at least Franco will be memorable!
6I love James Franco, but I would not want him as my commencement speaker. I went to UCLA, and a friend of mine from there dated him. let me tell you while he is insanely hot, he is the most self-absorbed ass I have ever met. I still love him in movies; but I would not want him to address my class as if he is some important person who deserves respect...
