We're all pretty much in agreement that our generation has become oversharing obsessed, and while most people simply talk about their relationships, their weekend plans, or their boredom at work, others don't know where to draw the line. So whether it's through an online network or a face-to-face conversation, tell me, what is the most inappropriate thing someone has ever told you?

Apparently it now considered ok to go into great detail when you are ready to start "trying" for a baby. I *really* don't want to hear about your cervical mucus, ok?
1My friend's dad telling us about all the prostitutes he slept with while he was in the army... really unnecessary informtaion.
2My grandmother is known to tell a lot of stories about her life. But she has had dementia and shared stories that were more than a little inappropriate (i.e. her first period, how my father was conceived, that she nearly aborted him, etc.).
3bbkf: Ew...One thing to post on a board about the subject, but just random detail...? Ick.
4I had a guy come up to me and ask me if I got breast implants, and if he could touch them.
(For the record, I don't. Good push up bra I guess?)
5My friend was concerned about a doctor's appointment and when I asked her how it went (just out of politeness) she went into VIVID detail about her recently diagnosed IBS and all of her symptoms (including the ones she was having at that moment)
Oh, did I mention we were out to dinner?
6Yeah, I'm grown but I'd rather not hear about what's going on in my parents sex life.
7Sometimes people are amazed that I've been married for almost 5 years and haven't gotten pregnant. Some people think it's OK to ask what's our method of protection. It's so damn uncomfortable! None of their business, either. Some other people also ask how much my bonus was or what my salary is. *Scoff*
8the wife of one of my husband's business associates told me this. now she is very attractive and her husband is yucky (think long nose hair
). they were staying at her brothers, on the sofa bed in their family room and the woman said
"we have been in that room with no privacy for 3 nights! i can't go w/o sex for any longer. he's going to have to pull over on the way home tonight and we'll do it in the back seat." i hardly
knew this woman and then she says "was that too much information? no, we know women have needs too, right?" then told me how she and her husband fulfilled her needs.
when they come into town now, i'm always unavailable, and that was 7 years ago
9I had a therapist tell me that I might want to consider braces. It was the first "get to know you" visit, and I was so angered by her lack of professionalism that I told her as much.
10I agree with the trying for a baby. I also don't care to hear sex stories, annoying!! The basic info like who the guy was is all I need to know..the dirty details, keep them to yourself.

12a roomate in university used to tell us details about everything in gross detail and using disgusting words...like "i just shaved my crotch and it's so itchy" and (in front of her boyfriend) i just have to go shove a tampon in my _____" .... like totally totally sick stuff
13bella - i also had my doctor ask me point blank at age 13 on my first visit with him - "so, what are you doing for your acne?"
14have been asked if I had breast implants -- because when I was skinny I had big boobs, and it's not that often that you see a girl who is tiny, tall, and with huge boobs. Someone actually came up to me and was like "You're gorgeous, but you're like f*cking Dolly Parton, are those things real?" I was so offended.
15Me and my boyfriend have an ongoing thing of trying to outdo the other through overstepping the mark...it's getting really gross now...I won't describe because I think it will be sharing way to much but just gross stuff about bodily functions mainly.
I have a friend who shares way too much about her sex life...urgh, keep it to yourself!
16My mentor teacher on the last day of my student teaching let me know that he'd like to bend me over his desk. Good times, : (
17honeybrown, that's not inapropriate, that's ILLEGAL
18it's sexual harassment
Once, I went on a weekend getaway with the guy I was seeing, and one of his friends and his friends girlfriend came with us. Well on the way there, the girlfriend lets us all know that we need to stop at the nearest gas station because she has to take a big deuce. Ya...definitely did not need to know that.
19My manger at a grocery store asked me for a Tool like a crescent wrench? i said i dont know what that is. , and he said. "You women only know the tools you pleasure yourself with"! hahahahah. it was funny. so i went back with. "Thats because you men dont know how to get the job done" And later filed for sexual harassment LOL. I got fired after that. I know it was illegal but he had tenyear and i was disposable. it sucked. lol
20"i just got a bikini wax and it gave me a rash, here let me show you" all while in our office copier room.
21I absolutely hate when I ask a co-worker the innocuous "How are you today" and get back the response "I'm on the r** so steer clear" Geez, thanks for the warning, but think you could have said it differently?
22Ugh...
OK so I used to work at a book store and one day the phone rings with a female customer on the other end. She sounds like she's in her fifties and she asks me if we carry any books on sexual molestation. I tell her no, sorry but we don't and then she tells me we should because it's common. I tell her I agree and get ready to end the conversation and stack some bookshelves, but no dice. She goes on to tell me about how she and her sisters were repeatedly molested as children by their father.
Half an hour later the conversation was over and I had some things in my head that won't go away.
23How timely. I just wrote a post that related to this.
Many years ago, I was told by a teenage mother that she was more of a woman than I am because she had children, and I didn't. She was unemployed, a college-drop out, and living with her parents because she couldn't support herself and her two little kids. On the other hand, I was college-educated, recently married, and an employed professional (i.e. financially self-supported). She defined womanhood by having children, so by that notion, she was a real woman, and I wasn't yet. I was shocked by her comment, but whatever.
24I have a friend who tends to post how much she wants a boyfriend in her Facebook status updates. She's pretty desperate...
25When I was a manager at a restaurant, there were these older ladies that absolutely hated me. I was never rude to them I would always greet them but never really chat with them. They first said that I harassed them by saying I called them guys as in "Hey guys!" Then she emailed not only my bosses but my bosses' boss with a horrible email saying that "I am unkept, I harass them constantly, I am fat always wearing my tight hip huggers with my fat rolls hanging out, and certainly not management material" I am 5'3'' and I was 145 at the time I had a baby a year before this happened and I was trying to lose weight for my wedding. Also they weren't hip huggers they were just basic dress slacks. I cried for a whole afternoon and wanted to give up eating, my husband wanted to make me quit right there on the spot, because my boss wanted me to just pretend that none of this happened and not say anything and change the way I dressed. My boss eventually told these women off. All this coming from a women who is so fat you can't see her elbows!
26i have no idea why people think its ok to tell me their most personal feelings/experiences. it has happened to me so often i cant choose just one. and im not sure what it is about me that makes people [im not that close to] disclose this kind of information to me, im a pretty guarded individual.... :S
27Bowel movements...
28My boyfriend's friend was introducing us to his girlfriend that he had just gotten back together with and about half hour in she asked me to come outside with her for a smoke. While out there I asked how their relationship was going and she started telling me why they broke up... apparently he had cheated on her with a prostitute and got some STD and then she found out so they broke up for a year before deciding that they were meant to be and now her whole family hates him and they have disowned her and cut her out of their lives. She wasnt saying this all sad or crying or anything, she told me this with the same tone that you talk about a hockey game with.
Way too much information from a girl I met 30minutes ago. I couldnt look her boyfriend in the face ever again.
29It really takes a lot to bother me/gross me out. I kind of consider this a good thing because it's one less thing to worry about.
Although one time, my old roommate's boyfriend told me that they had had "messy" sex where I was sitting like 10 minutes before I came in and sat down to watch TV. I didn't notice anything.. but I didn't sit there again. :/
30My coworker loves to tell me when she is ovulating ewwwww
31well it wasn't anyone i knew well but a bunch of strangers during a black friday sale talked about their sex lives in detail and asked for my input while waiting in line. needless to say it was awkward...
32I hate when people list all the alcoholic drinks they had over the weekend and then brag about how sick it made them.
1) This is about as exciting as reading someone your grocery list.
2) I would be ashamed and keep it to myself if I'd been so irresponsible as to drink myself into puking.
Ugh.
33Same thing as aimeeb.
34I've got this buddy of mine that likes to fill me in on all of his hookups when I ask him how his weekend was. He sleeps around with his ex (who has another bf now) and many other women and his neighbours! I do not judge, but he tells me every single detail about it.. positions and all included.. it leaves me with this sick feeling after!
How can I tell him that this is clearly TMI without being rude?
35Ok so I don't really mind people sharing TMI. It's tacky and I never do it myself, but when others do it, it amuses me... UNLESS it involves my family!! My sister told me something about my folks' sex life one time, and I'm not even gonna repeat it here, I'm still trying to forget it.
36Someone said.. you have no tits but hey your face is amazing so its ok.. ill buy you some.
This is after he asked me how much he would have to spend on me to get me to sleep with him
ICK
ps.. any info on trying for babies and periods is too much info!
37my manager is going through menopause and often lets me know when shes having a hot flash. and also her ir/regular bowel movements. ive told her that its tmi but she says 'i only share this with the people i care about'.
38By far it was the time I was at work at my old job and my boss was talking to me. I had just taken my coat off and my bra strap had slid off my shoulder. Right in the middle of the conversation, he reached out and grabbed my bra strap and pulled it up! I said, "Excuse me, that was inappropriate. You are not to touch my clothing in that way EVER again". Then he told me it was MY fault for wearing a shirt that "inappropriately showed my undergarments". I got really pissed and threatened to report him to HR, which freaked him out. He apologized for it, but it was still infuriating. I never did report him, but I probably should have.
39Some of these stories are totally making me laugh, although I'm sure they weren't intended to! I can't believe some of the things people share with others. Spectra I can't believe your boss did that - that's so inappropriate!
40A friend of mine told me how she thinks one of my teachers wants to do me... and she said this in front of other teachers.
41My one friend likes to tell me all about his junk mostly when he's drunk. I know the nickname, the size, how his pants fit him...almost everything. Yikes! The worst was when we moved our friends into their new apartment and crashed on the floor that night. In the middle of the night he literally rolled across the room to where I was sleeping to wake me up to tell me that he his penis is (in his words) "huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge! I'm talking I'll injure you it's so big!" Then he spent the next hour lamenting that he spent so much time wasting on his ex. I still mock him for that though. He will never live that night down.
42I once asked my ex how he was going and he proceeded to tell me about the girl he slept with the night before, in graphic detail. I REALLY didn't need to know.
I also have a friend who likes to make inappropriate jokes about everything, and while some of them are funny, most of the times its just offensive. Like when he says he did our mums last night or that he spreads herpes about.
43CozmoMeg... your "friend" wants you.
I have a coworker who is constantly on the phone with her gyno and other fertility specialists. She never tells anything directly to me, but we sit right next to each other, so I'm always in the know. I usually don't mind overshare, but I feel like somebody is going to ask me to scrub in any minute now.
44My mom is a swinger...and she seems to feel the need to tell me about the things they do, that my stepdad's bisexual, that they have threesomes - and that the RV we stayed in while visiting them had been used for a party recently and they'd been able to fit 4 couples in it....
45Bleh...
A classmate once told me she'd like to do my brother. Well she told ME she thought he was hot, but she told my other friend she'd like to sleep with him. And after my friend pointed out that he's married with kids she just said "meh, I don't mind".
46That and one of my friends asking if it was normal to have a lot of discharge after taking the morning after pill. But then this same girl had sex on the bottom bunk while th guy's brother slept on the top bunk. And those were some noisy bunks let me tell you.
My friend used to tell us about her way of having sex without protection and how he would pull out just before, best thing was she would give us a demonstration so we could remember it forever
47My co-worker was so exited when she lost her virginity at 25 that she went into full detail about how she had licked the guys thing!!!!! and how he had touched her privates! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh, and my other friend who I love LIKE A BROTHER told me out of no where that he was circumsized! Oh, TMI. Then my cousin likes to tell me waht she and her BFs do in bed and how big or small they have been
makes me sad, I don't
understand why people like to talk to me about their privates.
48I can live without the explicit details of sexual encounters - and the bathroom discussions people seem to feel a need to share.
49When I was a sophomore in HS, these two girls were sitting next to me talking about their sex lives REALLY LOUD and we were in the library. We were 15! URGH wayy tmi.
