Sex and gas just don't mix, so if you know your stomach is feeling bubbly after a spicy meal, you probably have the good sense to save your intimacy for another time.
You can't always be prepared for things that come up, though (or out, in this case!), so what would you do if you accidentally tooted while getting it on? It's totally mortifying to think about, and I'm sure a lot of people would want to stop immediately, grab their clothes, and run, but some people actually think passing gas is funny. So tell me, what would you do if this happened to you?

This has happened to me before. When you're really into it and completely relaxed sometimes you just let one slip. When the bf and I are really into it we just ignore it and other times we laugh. Depends on the situation.

3Laugh? I'd probably give some warning beforehand too. I think unless you are in an, erm, certain compromising position, it's not a big deal.
4laugh. my boyfriend had bad fish on our first date. we broke the fart barrier right then and there. i insisted. hahaha. we're still together 10 years later.
5I think it'd depend on the guys. Hopefully we'd just be able to laugh and move on though.

7i'm between two extremes - i wouldn't laugh (i don't think farts are funny since i'm not 12) but i also wouldn't run off in mortification

12hahaha, yeah skigirl you dont have to be 12, to find things humoruse in life. ! before my husband and i where even dating he sat on me and tickled a fart right out . and im not talking about the cute kind, i was mortified but he just laughed laughed laughed, 3 years later a little toot here and there...... especially During fun time

14This has never happened to me, but I know I would laugh...it's automatic. Unless of course I was the culprit, then I would probably just try to ignore it and hide my embarrassment.
15Oh my gosh, that has never happened to me, I haven't even farted in front of my boyfriend and we've been together over 3 years. Its just one of those things i refuse to do

19It's happened to us before (he's the guilty party) and we just laugh it off. If you can't laugh during sex, you're not fully enjoying it.
20Hey, gas happens, so you have to just deal with it...it's happened to us several times and we usually just laugh and blame it on the dog.
21I'm with laura too. It accidentally happened once (not in bed) and I was so mortified. It's just one of those things that I absolutely refuse to do.

24Unexpected farts when you're so seriously pumping away can be really funny. But farting, bowel movements, etc isn't something my fiancee or I "run away" to do in private...we both respect each other's bodies, all bodily functions included, so there's no shame in those things being witnessed, etc.
25That openness may seem really extreme, but I think it has been a wonderful way of expanding my sense of compassion for our humanness, and is a level of intimacy that I'm sure has helped to deepen our love for each other.

26I hope, Sylvana, that openness toward bodily functions isn't extreme. I like to watch my partners in the bathroom. I've farted during sex in the past, but I'm usually loud enough that they weren't heard. Thank God they weren't SBDs!!!
27One time me and this guy were having sex and we were going hard at it. Then all of the sudden this horrible smell of poop was in the air and we looked at each other. I could not figure out where it came from? And then I heard my stomach make a loud noise. Was it me? I didn't even feel it? Omg..it was so embarrased.. soo embarrased I thought I would die.. We just kept going like if nothing happened.. we never talked about it.. I'm still embarrased!!!
