Who is gathering polling data on Rush Limbaugh? :puzzle:
1Oops.
2He had "No choice"? WTF? Absolute idiot. If the bonuses were based on Profits, and they profited enough last year to warrant the bonuses, then they didn't NEED the bail outs in the first place. What a friggin' MORON! I hope that dude gets run out of town on a rail and AIG has to pay back every single frickin' penny WITH INTEREST!
And I can't fault the pope. I don't honestly believe the person in that position has a full view of what is happening in the world. I think everyone at the vatican lives in the 30's and thinks the world should remain that way. Come out of your hole people, we've all evolved!
3Exactly my thoughts, Modus.
4Do you think they poled Moveon.org?
I don't really trust polls.
This whole bonus thing is stupid. Congress does not want you to think about the real issue which is the billions, as in $170 billion, that they have wasted on AIG in the first place. They had no plan in giving taxpayer money to this company. And now they are surprised they are running their business as usual? We have elected morons at every level.
5AIG exec had no choice? I find that VERY hard to believe.
Who cares about Rush?
I still think the Pope is just making a bad situation worse in Africa. I agree his statement could be a danger to public health.
So sad about the St. Patty's Day celebrations turning violent.
Obesity can take a decade off your life? We are wasting money on this kind of research? We all know being obese is a bad thing.
Considering I don't really care a whole lot about the NCAA Tourney, meh. But I do think Memphis will make it to the Final Four. (I gotta root for a local team.)
6And actually the CEO had "no choice". Unless you are prepared to go full on Socialism then contract law is still valid in this country however distasteful it may be after the fact. Don't take your eye off the ball folks. Congress and the Bush and Obama administrations are at fault for bailing this company out in the first place. They had no plan and were/are incompetent.
7I appreciate the shift in direction AIG is taking however I'd be interested to know if the chairperson asked the recipients of the retention fees if under the circumstances they would be willing to wave their promised fees.
Ah Mr. Limbaugh my opinion is that Rush's problem is more attitude and delivery than ideology. He really isn't more conservative in my opinion than most solid conservatives it's just the way it flys out of his mouth that's the problem.
I agree with the French Gov. I can't wait till we have a progressive Pope again. Although I disagree with many positions the Catholic church takes I did like John Paul a lot.
Drunken mob? Wasn't that the Next Top Model riot lol
8He deserves to get grilled.
