With so many wedding day traditions out there, it's hard to keep them all straight. Nowadays most brides and grooms give each other a special gift right before walking down the aisle, typically delivered by the best man and maid of honor. What I want to know is, did you buy your groom a wedding day gift?

Neither of us had much money at the time, so we took two of the gift cards that we had received and bought presents for one another at the different stores. It was fun.
1i bought my husband an old beat-up piano for $250. he loves music and always said that a home is not complete without a piano in it. he really liked it...but we had to get rid of it when we moved because it wouldn't have made the trip. luckily my grandma gave her piano to me when she died so we still have a piano!
2We were also short on cash so we set a $50 budget and in the end I am SO HAPPY that we did because our gifts were very meaningful. - We also delivered hand written vows to each other beforehand.
MY GIFT TO HIM: I had the inside of his wedding ring engraved with a little special something we say to each other - I also made him a surprise slide show for our reception - it was super special and the only time all night that he cried.
HIS GIFT TO ME: My husband is an artist, and he had previously seen my mock wedding hair and makeup, so he drew our wedding kiss, and framed it - then around the picture on the matting he wrote his vows to me.
All in all it was amazing and special - and reminded us exactly what we shared right before we walked down the isle, everyone was in tears and really felt the moment.
3kristinakay19, that is so sweet!
We had saved and were spending all of our money on the honeymoon, so we didn't have any money to buy gifts for each other.
4i did get a gift for my groom, but i can't remember what it was for the life of me.
5Yes I did get our groom a gift!
6Not married yet, but when the day comes, I'd love to get my guy a nice watch.
7not married yet either, but i'd love to get my guy a gift.
8We really didnt have alot of money then, so I just got my husband a card and wrote some really nice things, and then I got him a christmas ornament (we got married in November). I really didnt expect much from him, but then, right before our rehearsal at the church, he gave me a beautiful diamond necklace that he designed! I was SHOCKED and I just cried and cried. It was so beautiful!
9Not married yet but I think that is a appropriate tradition.
10I am on the phone with my bf reading it to him he says "the wedding is her gift" oh I am gonna have to let him know lol!
I bought my husband a Tag Heuer ress watch that he had been eyeing and had it sent over to him prior to the wedding. He wore it that day and on our anniversary too. Its dressy, so its only pulled out for special occassions.
11Neither of us had a lot of money, and he was adamant that we not spend any money. He said he was going to "make" me something, which confused me because he's not terribly crafty or anything like that. It turned out that he wrote me a song and sang it to me as a surprise during our ceremony! Not even our parents knew he was going to. I got something special framed for him...
12I had a professional photographer take a photo of the huge oak tree near our home where he got down on one knee to propose. I had it framed and he has it in his office. It's called, Yes.

14I was going to get him a really nice digital picture frame (he already had 2 watches)- but then I discovered that he wanted something else- I wanted to get him what he wanted so a Nintendo Wii it was. He got me a sapphire and diamond necklace and we were both really happy and his friends think Im the coolest wife EVAH!
15Not married yet but don't really see the point. I mean, these stories are very nice and sweet, but aren't we both paying for the wedding (financially and emotionally) as is?
16Maybe I'm just being cynical...?
i am not married yet but i have to buy him its a must in our culture
17Well it was a bit over the top for us financially but I did buy my husband a gift. I bought him an 18kt gold necklace with a Leo pendant. It's very sexy and he wears it everyday. I also designed him a small book in my mac computer with our favorite photos. I placed it under his pillow before the wedding. On the cover was my son, myself and him, and I titled it, "We are a family now". He cried when he saw that.
