Unless you've been around an English literature department in the past 20 years or so, some of the critical theory courses below will probably seem ridiculous. Basically, the idea is, if it's part of culture, it's a text worthy of study. Although I agree with this, I also think it's probably worthy of a little ridicule! (FYI — I actually took one of these courses once upon a time!)

5My college is almost always on the "Top 10 Weirdest College Courses" lists (usually more than once) but we didn't make this one! We do have a philosophy of the Twilight Zone class, though.

7One of my old Liberal Science teachers went to Berkeley. I can imagine him teaching any one of these classes.
8(He taught Intro to Sexuality. It was about sexuality through the ages. What was normal then, now, and what has changed. It was ridiculously amazing and interesting.)

I haven't been near a college for YEARS, yet I got that many right - thank God for guess work. It really opened my eyes to what's being taught out there that taxpayers foot the bill on. But seriously! Classes on the "Joys of garbage" but NOT one for Dr. Phil; cats or Prada?!
