Two-time Oscar host Jon Stewart may actually have something in common with two-term President George W. Bush. Their performances leading the ship (the Academy Awards ceremony and the United States, respectively) inspired a call for a drastically new direction.

Jon hosted the Academy Awards in 2005, and he apparently did a good enough job to be asked back in 2008. But following his second performance, the Academy Awards decided it was time for change. Voters brought in liberal president Barack Obama, and the Oscars brought in song-and-dance man Hugh Jackman [1]. Check out this video of John Oliver laying into his boss, Jon Stewart!
