1From the piece on Clinton, she said,
""I don't think it should be viewed as particularly extraordinary that someone in my position would say what is obvious," she said. "Maybe this is unusual because you are supposed to be so careful that you spend hours avoiding stating the obvious. But that is just not productive in my view. It is worthwhile being more straightforward. . . . That's how I see it and that's how I intend to operate." "
Finally... Thank you!
2"In China today, Hillary Clinton said human rights violations cannot interfere with the possibility of significant cooperation between the US and China."
In other words: "Kill whomever you want, we'll still work with you."
3Didn't people b*tch about Bush saying the same thing? But She can say it and it's fine?
4Well, that's one way to oversimplify things.
5Over a million dollars for an election night party? Some party.
6I wonder if our mayor is there, he was just at a big police funeral this morning. 7 police officers killed in the line of duty in less than 2 years. So sad, this officer was 25 and had a wife that is 5 months pregnant.
7Wow- Obama is actually going to be in DC.... I am shocked! An economy upon certain doom, all the fear mongering and he has been jet setting... Priorities Obama, nice

9Lol at the title of this thread.
10As much as I hate what China does to their people, they have a serious amount of power over us right now, and to pretend otherwise would be dangerous and stupid.
11I think that's what Clinton was trying to say. The same goes for Saudi Arabia.
12Although Human Rights in some cases are not directly addressed the baby steps in diplomacy and cooperation that we take with China will indirectly improve human rights over time.
I'm sure many of the nations Mayors are begging the President to by pass their state legislatures on the state funding.
If Senator Burris actually set out to raise money for the Gov. then yes I think he should step down. However, if it's simply a matter of him being asked and he never did anything to that effect then IMO he did nothing wrong.
