In Touch Weekly got a hold of an obnoxious email invitation from Nicole Richie to friends for a Memorial Day weekend get together. She invites her friends to "celebrate our country by drinking massive amounts of beer" and to "glorify this day in your sluttiest tops and your tightest pair of Tsubi jeans." The crowning touch? "No girls over 100 pounds allowed in." Wow. I'm as guilty as the next gal of enjoying fun, sun, barbeque and booze with only an afterthought to what Memorial Day means...but I'm not proud of it! Thanks for making me feel better about myself, Nicole!

Wow. Just, wow.
it's fake right? if it true the littel respect that i had for her is gone , the girl is stupid.
Seriously, "seems"? It's called spell check, Nicole.
um...i'm speachless...
Isn't this tongue in cheek? I don't think she's serious at all (the scale comment alone shows that).
she is so stuck on stupid.....
What a b-ya!
I'm no Nicole defender, I don't even know why she's famous. But it must really SUCK to not even be allowed to joke around with friends without in ending up in some rag mags hands. lol
I don't think this is real, & if it is, I don't think for a second that she was serious!
I don't care if it's "tongue in cheek", it's tacky and tasteless.
Futonfighter - seems wouldn't be caught in spell check because it's an actual word. As in "The world is not what it seems." But yeah, it's totally used wrong.
Her publicist acknowledged it, so it is real. And although I'm no fan, I totally agree with asco00 that it must suck not to be able to joke with your friends. They black out the uber personal stuff, but release the email - it's a personal email and really isn't our business.
I'm not buying it. There is no way this is real. I'm in no way a fan of hers but I can't fathem anyone writing this. The scale comment is simply ridiculous. I refuse to believe that it's real.
She did write it -- her publicist already released a statement about it. I think it's funny... obviously it is a joke. The only thing that's bad about it is if they really don't know what Memorial Day signifies.
Wow what a invite.
Wow, her writing is almost more incomprehensible than Lindsay Lohan's. Can you imagine reading a correspondence between the two of them?
Yeah, I'm thinking this is tongue in cheek and people are taking it out of context.
It's a private invite (to her close friends) that was accidentally publicly sent, goodness knows I've done that a zillion times.
I think that this is a joke. This is the same way she talks on the Simple Life and she's usually pretty sarcastic.
Joke or not, I still think she's a tool
tats just how nicole speaks....its all meant to be a joke..dont take it seriously ....and the scale thing is funny...I think she was making fun of herself.
lol -I think its funny- people cant take a joke. We dont know how she and her friends play around. We all have those inside things w/ our friends...
Eh. I've sent things to my friends that a lot of people would find in bad taste. It would totally suck to have an inside joke plastered around for the world to see. I still think that she's rediculous though.
Fake
if i got this in the mail from nicole i'd probably crack up. just think about how goofy and stupid she is on the earlier seasons of the simple life [i haven't seen the newer ones so i don't know how she is now]... she doesn't take life too seriously.
Ha ha, BellaSugar. Yes, communication btwn LiLo and Nicole would be highly entertaining if one could decipher it!
I heard a statement where she said It so rhymes, so it's okay.

Hasan't she been hacked before? You'd think she'd be more careful, considering by now she should realise her private life isn't always private.
Bleh. It amazes me that these girls manage to find each other and be friends. I don't know one person this stupid and shallow, yet there are apparently gaggles of them living just a few miles from my house. Oh well, I could snap them in two with one hand.
i think she's mentally ill - seriously
I'm sure she WAS joking, but really - her abuse of the English language is 100% serious.
