The District is funny, love it
1Well Hannity already said he would do what he could against the republicans that voted for the stimulus. It goes against everything the party believes in.
2The only reason why Specter is so popular in PA is because he is a moderate Republican. You want to work to get him out of office, you are looking at an ultra liberal Philadelphia Democrat like Joe Torsella. Maybe Republicans should focus on nurturing a constructive moderate part of the party instead of continuing to drive it away.
3I'll have to watch The District when I get home. My internet at work is picky about which videos I can watch.
I'm all for happy hour and maintaing a good social schedule while in the White House, but who is paying for all the entertaining the Obamas plan to do? I know they get a budget, but how much?
4Hey starangel82. The President gets a $50,000 entertainment budget each year. Check other presidential perks if you're interested.
5Wow. I wish I got 10% of that budget. In case his half million a year isn't enough to cover everything else.
6CitizenSugar: How far do you think 50K goes? Oh, backyard BBQ's..my bad.
7Thanks Citizen. I had seen it around some where. Just couldn't remember. I doubt $50,000 goes very far depending on how many parties you host and how swank and snazzy you get with your decor and food. Then again, if you are just going to have a kegger every Wednesday, that'd last a while.
8$50,000 doesn't pay the bar tab at my state meetings. Then again, we sales reps sure drink quite a lot.
950K isn't a lot of money, especially when you consider how expensive good food/liquor is. It also isn't half a mil.
10...also depending on how many parties you have to throw, and how many people you have to entertain.
11The District is pretty funny! The person doing the voice does a really good job, especially compared with the SNL version.
