A friend of mine went overseas for a long business trip, and since she wasn't going to be seeing her boyfriend for almost a month, she took her vibrator along for the ride.
Now I'm sure you can relate to missing your significant other — especially the lovemaking — but would you go as far as packing a vibrator in your carry-on? With the souped-up security in the airport, would you be worried someone would discover the treasure you packed, or do you feel safe traveling with anything (even your unmentionable) discreetly?

Take the batteries out!!!!! Personally I'd pack it in checked luggage, wrapped in socks or something, and put the batteries in a separate place. Anything vibrating will cause a huge security risk,
1Nope, wouldn't do it.
2Why not pack it? It isn't like you know these people. Just take the batteries out and if they go through your stuff have it packed in a plastic bag so they don't touch it.
3Personally, I've never had to and probably wouldn't.. but whatever floats your boat!
4I think I'd be uncomfortable packing it with me.
5For me, it's kind of the opposite of the setup Dear described... I'm in an LDR and, erm, don't really use it alone, so...
6It's just a month, I can't see myself taking it along. Besides, like pippins said, I'd feel uncomfortable with that packed anywhere.
7Meh, not a big deal, just put them in a plastic bag as Kia said. Although really... why not take it as an opportunity to visit other sex shops and buy something while you're gone? Then you just have to travel back with it.
8We flew last year and packed the sex toys in my case. My bag was the one that got opened and my sex toys were hidden underneath. They lifted up my shirts, saw them and put them back again. I smiled sweetly. =)
9That's crazy..
10Eh, those TSA officers have seen it all.
11Since I don't really consider it a necessity, I probably wouldn't bother.

I would take the batteries out and pack it in my checked luggage, not my carryon. I took one of mine with me when I went away for 2 weeks. I drove, but I still felt it was something I needed to pack lol.
13I wouldn't bring it in my carry-on, but then again, I don't use a vibrator solo either. If I DID bring one, it'd go in my checked baggage. I'm not sure I get why people put them in their carry-ons in the first place...are they really THAT critical that you can't wait until you get your luggage back to have it?
14I'd keep it in my checked luggage, in it's box and wrapped up in plastic. Having it in my carry on is just asking for disaster.
15I agree with MegN, just get a new one wherever you are, plus don't think I 'd be comfy wit that on my person in an airport
16I put them in my checked luggage.
17Mine looks like a back massager, so, no embarrassment here.
Check it.
18This makes me chuckle...
19wow, who cares! Mine was in my carry-on and one security guy (before TSA was established) laughed when it went through the xray machine and said something to his friend.
Why should I care what two airport workers think of me?
Also, if I already owned one (or a few) sex toys at home, why the heck would I buy a new one when I travel? All of you suggesting this, do you leave your camera at home and just buy a new one when you get your destination?
20If I am checking luggage I would definitely take it with me (of course with no batteries). I'm not so sure I would with carry-on luggage though.
21I would be afraid of re-enacting that scene from Fight Club. “Modern bombs don’t tick, they vibrate. But sometimes (stage whisper) it’s a dildo. … It’s company policy to use the indefinite article – never *your* dildo, just *a* dildo.”
Anyway, I get by just fine without any toys, but if I were going to bring one I sure wouldn’t put it in my carry-on! Checked bags all the way.
22Why would you need it if you're going to be with your man for a month?? Uhh HELLO. The purpose of the thing is for when he's NOT around right?
23I'm with Kia and TidalWave. You don't know the TSA people. So what if they find it? It's not like they're going to call my mom and tell on me.
24Jeny: not necessarily, different stroked for different folks... I hardly ever use mine alone and I know that lots of people like to use them with their partners! so don't judge...
25I agree with Miss Malone.
