the two stooges i mean the two bushes
, like father like son. So not funny, so
inappropriate.
1Is it bad that I found it a teensy bit funny?
2I think Clinton had a great response. I think he should have added "whatever a Bush has, I don't want" in Clinton's case maybe I should clarify "whatever a President Bush has, I don't want."
3good one jazz
4I wonder if those military files are of current service men or those from years past.
5I thought it was funny too amy, I was lol at both GHWB and Clinton.
6I thought it was a little funny..
7It's not funny when you think this man was president to ugly feminists as well as pretty submissives.
8I thought it was funny, and I didn't take it as ugly looks, I took it as ugly personality. To rush a car with an angry look, makes you look ugly> i also thought Clinton was funny
9And Clinton can say that joke too. I would still laugh.
10mm no I still think its funny. It was a joke. Clinton was pretty funny too.
11He definitely meant ugly physically and not attitude-wise. But I still think he was just trying to be funny. If Clinton said that he would be jumped all over, I agree with that just because of his history with women.
12"He definitely meant ugly physically and not attitude-wise" I definitely didn't take that from what he said. but just goes to show you that 2 people who have 2 different views of a man will perceive things very differently.
13Good Lord, HW.
14Who cares if he called her physically ugly? Are we supposed to pretend no one is ugly?
I thought it was hilarious. Clinton's follow up was great too.
15If Clinton had made the joke it would have been a bit more loaded. HW Bush never had much of a rep as far as I can remember.
16
The joke was hilarious, but what is even more funny is the assumption that all feminists are
ugly. That's not what he said. He said this one specifically was ugly.
17I don't have anything against Bush Sr. but it seems clear to me he meant physically ugly...and it was funny and Clinton being baffled as to why he can't get away with a joke is even more funny!
18That joke makes me sick to my stomach.
19The Bushes sure know how to keep it classy. I always thought Bush Sr. was a bit more savvy then to say something like that in public.
20"The joke was hilarious, but what is even more funny is the assumption that all feminists are ugly. That's not what he said. He said this one specifically was ugly."
Even of I agreed with that, and lets just say I do, the fact that he chose to make a joke out of a woman who was protesting something extremely important to herself and millions of other women doesn't reflect well on his knowledge on what is appropriate.
21Dave, I totally agree with you.
22I thought it was hilarious (as did the audience, and as did Clinton) he wasnt "floored".
"stay out of my womb" no problem! ahahahahhaaha
23'but just goes to show you that 2 people who have 2 different views of a man will perceive things very differently. '
How do you know my views of GHWB are different than yours? And I agree with pop, some people are just physcially ugly. And yes, with Clinton it would be totally loaded if he made that joke.
24"I always thought Bush Sr. was a bit more savvy then to say something like that in public."
Why is that? He doesn't have anything to lose now. We can't go back and impeach him for anything. He's adored worlwide for his work with Clinton, which isn't going to change because he's working with Clinton. To me, the joke seemed like a set-up for Clinton's speach. It allowed Clinton to make a joke about sex without it seeming like "Oh great, Billy-boy is talking about sex again."

26Bush Sr. is the classy guy who told a group of protesting POW families to 'shut up and sit down' during his first administration.
27Those GOP men are just a riot when it comes to chick bashing!
"on MSNBC’s Hardball, Salon editor-in-chief Joan Walsh and former Republican House majority leader Dick Armey engaged in a heated exchange on Rush Limbaugh and his recent controversial comments. Walsh repeatedly condemned Limbaugh’s remarks, saying that conservatives should stand up to the hate radio host. Toward the end, the conversation turned sexist when Armey said he was glad he wasn’t married to Walsh:
ARMEY: I’m so damn glad that you can never be my wife because I surely wouldn’t have to listen to that prattle from you every day.
WALSH: Boy, that makes two of us sir. That was really an outstanding comment."
28Just as classy as Obama telling congressional repubs "I won, I'll trump you on that."
29Oooh, that Obama is one mean guy!
30Pretty funny!
31I personally am not a fan of my own sex, must be that republican blood.
32PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, everyone lighten up.
THE INCIDENT NEVER HAPPENED--IT WAS A JOKE!!!
First heard this Friday on Dennis Miller's radio program. We ALL know that Dennis is conservative, so he would be on Bush's side. Well, he LOVED the joke, but then he and his team checked into it, and IT NEVER HAPPENED! He heard a joke about an ugly woman, and he repeated it. Did anyone notice that he had to READ it in the video???
This isn't real, it didn't happen, and I think it is being taken WAY TOO SERIOUS. Please, it was funny just like it was funny to see Bob Dole doing ED commercials. Do you think all the men with ED who saw that didn't laugh at it themselves, or did they say, "Gosh, having Bob Dole do a commercial about my problem is embarrassing. I should sue." No, I think most of them looked at the humor of the situation and completely separated it from the seriousness of the issue.
