On my way to work this morning, I noticed that most people I walked by were chatting vigorously on their cell phones. I guess it's their downtime to catch up before walking into the office, but I've always enjoyed silence on my way to work — being alone with my thoughts helps me start the day off on the right foot. But where do you stand on this one? Do you like to chit-chat on your way to work or do you prefer quiet time?

Wayyyyyy too early in the morning for me to start it off with gossip. If theres anything important, usually it will be a text around 10am once I get settled in at work.
1I definitely call my grandparents in the morning -- I don't like to bother them when I'm home post-gym/post-dinner and settled at night if its too late, but I know at 8/8:30 when I'm on my way to work they are up and starting their day too.
2i dont work, but on my way to school i prefer quite..
3i dont even like listening to my ipod..however coming home from school is a different story
I like the quiet, plus none of my friends are up at 6am!
4I don't talk to anyone until 11am.
5Yeah that was the best part of my old 1 hour (one-way) commute. I would make all my business calls in the morning (between 8 and 9) since it was easier then, than to worry about it at work. Then driving home (between 6 and 7) I would chat with family members/friends.
6My boyfriend calls me every morning to say hi. My sister almost always calls me too since during the day she's soooo swamped. And sometimes my friend Beth calls since we work off the same exit and she'll give me the traffic report.
7Not in the morning, I have to be at work too early. However, on my drive home, my blue tooth battery usually goes dead. LOL That's about the only time of day that I have to "chat". Once I get home it's dinner for the kids, clean the house, do the dishes, help with homework etc etc etc. There's no TIME to talk on the phone then. So, my girlfriends know that from 4-4:45 is the best time to catch me if they want to chat. Otherwise, they better text me. LMAO
8I like my quiet time in the morning. I hate listening to other peoples
9conversations, yuck. Sometimes when I get to work early I have to listen to my co-worker talking on her bluetooth headset at the top of her lungs. She has absolutely no idea how loud she talks when she is using that thing.
When I leave work I like to get on my phone and chat it up especially if
it's a Friday. I have to figure out my plans for the weekend!
No...not at all. I hate talking on the phone and generally don't do it unless there's a specific reason to or I need to make plans.
10It helps make the commute faster or keeps you woke so you don't fall asleep when getting off but in the morning I don't really like talking on the phone cuz I'm preparing myself mentally for the day.
11I block everyone out when I'm commuting, I've usually got other things to focus on.
12I'll be texting, tweeting and facebooking all the way to uni and back.
