The basketball story is a little strange, a school with only 20 kids? I get that they have learning impairments but why were they playing competitive sports if they can't really compete?
The guy charging 5.25 for 500 worth of stuff at Walmart is kinda genius, yes its wrong and its stealing but in my opinion Walmart deserves it and its not going to harm them at all...that's what they get for not screening employees well and paying them low wages that they can't afford to live.
1ok end rant : )

I'm not sure what's so clever about embezzlement. Especially this example, which was the dumbest and most obvious way to steal as an employee.
As far as "deserving it," I think that's pretty absurd. It's not that it hurts Walmart. It hurts everyone who has low incomes and needs to shop there, because they will be paying for this kind of theft.
2I don't remember if it was this week or last week but did ya'll here about the foo that robbed a bank. Child stood in line with a ski mask on and waited his turn for the window. LMAO! I tell ya someone slapped the sense out of this childs head a long time ago.

Hypno. Then there are all the stories about robbers who inadvertently leave their contact
information at the places they rob. Criminals are idiots.
4Why should that team have to apologize? It's not their fault they won 100-0.
5*I mean...not that it's not their fault they won 100-0, but something more along the lines of "they didn't do anything wrong by winning 100-0."
6Wow. I wonder how those fishermen survived!
7I wonder why no one called that game off at half time.
8There is way more to the High school story. Here is a blog I did about it. It is big news here.

9Thanks, GS--that gives it more context
10No problem. It has really, really been bugging me.
11And the walmart employee deserves to be charged to the fullest extent, the customer as well.
12Agreed. That's just stealing.
13The peanut story is the most disturbing. D
14*The peanut story is the most disturbing. x.x
But the evidence sounds a little weak...he got in trouble for putting up a racy calendar before? That doesn't automatically mean he's going to go mad about enough to become an attempted murdered in order to ruin the company.
15Jude- I think the apologies have to do with running a full-court press when they were winning 98-0. Running the score up in high school sports is in very poor taste and sportsmanship. Especially against a school for students with learning disabilities that hasn't won a game in four years.
It's different where a higher score confers advantage to the winning team or player- like in college football where it could impress BCS voters, or in sports where you are ranked as an individual (golf or tennis), or in timed events like track, or honestly, most professional sports because the losing team is still being compensated richly just for playing. However, even the Patriots sometimes get criticized for running the score up, and it's stupid to leave your starters in a game you are clearly winning, because you are putting them at risk for injury.
Honestly, in high school basketball, it is the W/L column that matters, and when you clearly winning a game, you throw in your second string, test out new plays, and move to half-court press.
16Yeah, I know. GS's blog did a great job explaining some of the context that's missing from this summary.
17Sorry I totally missed that!
18I say beat the pants off of them even if they are some "special" school, Dont be in the running if you cant keep up.
19allright, i admit it was a bit harsh to run the score, I am just tired of the "everyone gets a trophy" attitude as of late in any sport.
20I agree with you to an extent CG, but 100-0 is a bit harsh for high school. Also, full court press at 50-0 is extreme. I don't think you should tell your kids to stop trying, but let's remember sportsmanship.
21Update -
The coach was fired this morning. It wasn't because of the game, it was because he said some incredibly stupid things this weekend to the press and online.
