Feeling aroused is a wonderful and welcomed feeling, especially when it happens with someone you're about to get it on with, but for some women, being aroused for hours, days, or even weeks is more of a condition than a blessing. This disorder is known as persistent sexual arousal syndrome (PSAS) or persistent genital arousal disorder (PGAD). Check out this clip from Grey's Anatomy to see what I mean.

This unique syndrome is not a result of being an extremely sexual person, and it's usually unrelated to sexual desire. PSAS is a fairly new condition, only identified in 2001, and women that have it can experience hundreds of spontaneous orgasms a day, either with sex or without, but the feeling of arousal never subsides. It can be triggered by vibrations from a plane or a car, or it can have no trigger at all. Women experience a range of feelings from tingling, to throbbing, to full-on intense When Harry Met Sally outbursts. Most women think it's unbearable, but unfortunately, since not much is known about what causes this condition, there's no known cure for it. Have any of you ever known someone with this disorder?

I've never even heard of this condition much less know anyone who has actually experienced it.

2That would get annoying real fast.
3For the last couple of years i've frequently found myself struggling to control this overwhelming feeling that seems to come from nowhere! At first I thought I just had a high sex drive but it would happen in strange places and for no apparant reason! And when i looked into it, although there was little information or evidence I did come across frequent orgasm syndrome and psas. I guess it's nice to know i'm not alone but there isn't a cure and believe me it's not as great as it first sounds!
4oh wow, that's unfortunate.
5Well that certainly explains a lot. For as long as I can remember I've always thought I was just perpetually horny. Not enough to interfere with my normal every day life (although on the odd occasion, it's enough that it can hurt if I can't let it out). Extreme stress seems to negate it for a while, but usually it's a tingle that has no catalyst. Vibrations, such as car, heavy music or even walking past heavy road works seems to seriously set it off.
It does get damn annoying, especially if you're trying to concentrate on something or even have a conversation. I learn to ignore it and cross my legs a lot (and that's not always a good idea either).
My heart goes out to anyone that has to deal with it and especially to those that have an extreme case of it.
