Since many of you attended, or threw election parties last year, I'm left assuming that you're doing the same for inauguration today. And in most groups of friends, it's usually one person who acts as the hostess with the mostess, so tell me ladies, are you typically the host or the guest?

Both. I host a lot of parties for various reasons and attend them as well. I prefer to be a guest, less clean up
1Yea I'm both as well, I host often but I also attend many parties
2I live in a pillbox which limits my hosting capabilities.
3Everyone is always coming over my place. Usually people help to clean up so it's not so bad. I like having everyone over.
4wow.. i can't remember the last time i got to be a guest! nfl playoffs, new year's eve, xmas, birthday, thanksgiving, election, halloween, summer bbqs... man. i need more host(ess) friends!
5I just don't have the patiences, I get all stress, I prefer going to parties and enjoy myself.
6The hostess. I like being in my comfort zone so it makes sense to be the one to entertain.
7We're usually the guests, it's much more easy that way. I don't dislike people in my home, I'd just rather them not.
8i love entertaining. I have yet to in my new apt that I moved into in OCTOBER.... i don't have any friends here yet... i must really suck at life. hahahahah

11We put in a patio last summer. I've decided that we are going to try to have a "happy hour" every friday at our house to start the weekend off, and enjoy the patio!

12Always the host. I love having guests over creating new menus. It makes me feel good when people enjoy themselves at my house.
13I'm about 50/50.
14I'm the host about 90% of the time. If I go to someone's house I normally take on some sort of hostess role, like I bring the wine, mix the cocktails, or help the hostess.
15I'm always a guest. I wish I could host a party from time to time, but I live in a small apartment. There wouldn't be a lot of room, and I wouldn't want noise to bother the neighbors.

17i host parties. but then again im in college. and hosting a party consists of buying a keg... i like having people over rather then going out because then i can wear really cute shoes and not have to worry about walking home
