Oh, that liberal media and its gatekeeping television networks. They won't let the professional-looking ObamaForgery.com spend its American dollars on air time. The ad compiles all the Obama-isn't-an-American-citizen rumors into one minute, most of which I can't find credible sources for — on either side. Though the citizenship dispute is disproved on FactCheck.org.
What are the allegations?
- Obama refuses to release his original birth certificate.
- His Kenyan grandmother said she remembers him being born in Kenya.
- Obama (or is he?) attended school in Indonesia under his stepfather's last name, Sottero.
- He traveled to Pakistan in 1981 when it was illegal for US residents.
The ad works its way up to the final crescendo: "Fact: The Constitution still matters." Except, maybe, that's really more of an opinion. To see the video, read more.

Since when do we censor in America??
1And let's not get into a discussion about the validity of the citizenship. No need to rehash it, but seriously, censorship?
2When we can have ads on the TV about clean coal technology just being an empty desert? Misleading people, but we cannot question Obama?
3I'm embarrassed for people who can't let this go. They're really reaching to have something to hold against Obama. It's beyond pathetic.
4Hain, lots of liberal ads have been rejected, this isn't a conspiracy.
5Yeah, let's hear about the new socialist in the cabinet.
6I like this:
The ad works its way up to the final crescendo: "Fact: The Constitution still matters." Except, of course, that's really more of an opinion.
7I know Org: after Guantanamo, how can anyone state that as a certainty?!
8People need to get over this. He's a citizen. He won the election. Game over.
9(sigh)
102 wrongs make a right don't they Steph?
11I caught that too org.
12Censorship?
These people are welcome to start their own network and run whatever crap they want. Networks are completely justified is exercising judgment in what commercials they play just like they use their judgment in deciding what shows to put on the schedule.
13So all ads should run Hainan? Move On, Code Pink, Obama Conspiracy Theorists? Just throw every whack job claim that comes up on the air, as long as the group can pay?
14Just gives the crazies more fodder though, don't you think? The same network that allow lies about energy and global warming, won't allow this? I want to know which networks won't allow it. Did anyone see that. I'd like to stop watching them.
15I'm not really getting the opinion thing. I'm guessing she meant this whole citizenship thing is a matter of opinion, but whether Obama is a citizen is not a matter of opinion. It's gotta be either one way or the other. Citizenship is a binary state. I can't just say, "My opinion is you're not a citizen."
16If they pay the for the time, yeah. Soda commercials lie about their products. There are fallacies all over advertising.
17Oh good lord. I wish we could just put this issue to rest.
18I don't mean this specifically about anyone, but in general if you want to boycott a network because they won't air total bs commercials, then you might just be a total crackpot.
19And what in the video wasn't a fact?
20So if Liberal Mothers Against Drunk Driving had paid for ads about Bush's alleged drunk driving arrest in the 70s, that would be okay with you Hain?
21yeah sure, not meant towards anyone in particular TS.
22Sure if it isn't libel.
23I'm thinking a lot of people would change the channel if this ad came on.
24Networks have every right to pick and choose which ads they choose to run. That's not censorship. Why would they want to run this ad on Inauguration day? It is bad business. A lot of people are going to be watching all thrilled about history being made. This negative ad might be a bucket of cold water that causes them to change the station.
25And about the opinion thing, I think she is saying that saying something matters is an opinion, not a fact. Maybe the way they worded it. Maybe they should have said, "last time I check, the constitution is still the law of the land" then that would not have been an opinion
26to what kastarte, another station airing the inauguration? People only hear what they want to hear.
27I think networks have the right to decide what content they air. Whether or not their decisions are unbiased is another story entirely.
28Exactly Organic. People would probably change the channel ant that is the last thing any of these net works want.
29Exactly Hain. They would watch it on some other channel. No network wants that. They are protecting their ratings. They have no responsibility to air this ad.
30LOVE the new avi TS!!
31eh, I guess you right.
32It just seems very biased to me is all.
"LOVE the new avi TS!!"
Really?
33It's a West Wing reference.
34It's a West Wing reference.

35It may be liberal biased. But I think it is more likely that they are concerned about their ratings. I'd be willing to bet that the networks that won't air this didn't refuse to run McCain ads or GOP ads. They may even have agreed to run this ad on another date if asked.
36We're still on the citizenship thing?
37I think the creator of this ad wanted people to see it that like Obama. They know what conservatives think of him. They want to implant seeds of doubt into everyone's minds.
38Yes, Org. West Wing is a fantastic show. Highly recommend.
39I'm not really a fan. Too many people finishing each other's sentences.
But, I do think it's a little rude to call Hainan a crackpot, and then set that as your avatar. Par for the course, I suppose
40Hain has a great new avi too. Family Guy is perhaps the funniest show on TV. Definitely the funnies animated show.
41They'd have be seeds of doubt coated with angel dust Hain - anyone with half a brain blew off this 'controversy' a long time ago.
42nope changed it again. I was experimenting.
43At least I thought I saw Stewie...
Hain, where did you hide Stewie?
44I liked the Stewie one better Hain, had a Buddhist vibe too.
45umm ok Steph. Implying that anyone who want a more concrete document for proof of the man taking the highest office is actually eligible for the office only has half a brain seems more the other way around. Blind trust.... no thank you. I am not going to speak of the merit of the case, but to call them someone with only half a brain is telling.
46HAHA, I still got him kas. I'm experimenting.
47The Stewie one was really small.
48Small but it had a fantastic quote.
49You misread me Hain, I said anyone who has half a brain already rejected this nonsense. Said nothing about the believers.
