Jon Stewart thinks President-elect Barack Obama has a lot to learn about holding a press conference. Compared to President Bush, Obama's style can be described as respectful, engaging, and open minded. Jon took the chance to illustrate Obama excess of politeness, by juxtaposing clips of Obama and Bush taking (or ignoring) questions from the press. My favorite part of the "President Goofus and President Gallant" segment had to be the roundup of President Bush's nicknames for the members of the press corps. Have a watch — I bet you'll laugh out loud!

lol that was pretty funny
1Wait just a minute - people said it was going to be impossible for Jon Stewart be funny using Obama material... What else have they gotten wrong about the change in leadership?
2Doogie Hanser! Last American Virgin! Go! :rotfl"
3Ack!
4I love
Jon Stewart! I missed that one ~ and it was great. Thanks for sharing!
5I have the hots for Krugman, personally.
6lovelovelovelovelove Jon Stewart. And I'm pissed he's not on the celeb list to add to my profile.
7Bella - I do too! When he was on with Fareed Zakaria I could scarcely contain myself for all the nerdy-hotness.
8I saw this last night. Its was so funny.
9I simply do not understand why you insist to post this man on citizen. I mean, isn't this supposed to be the news portion of the sugar network? If you post him every other day, then why not letterman, or Leno? UGH!!!
10Steph, he is still making fun of Bush. It's like reverse psychology.
11Bush's exchange with Suzanne Malveax was very interesting. I think he made a complete ass of himself.
12"Wait just a minute - people said it was going to be impossible for Jon Stewart be funny using Obama material... What else have they gotten wrong about the change in leadership?"
I think you missed the joke.
13Ya know hain, if you don't like the content, you don't have to click on the story.
14Good point kas. She could've clicked on the story today that cited The Rachel Maddow Show. Or the story today that questioned whether Bush was a puppet, fool, or sadist.
15thanks organic! If I don't click on the article, then how do I let Sugar know that they are posting a bunch of fluff??!!
16Kas' point exactly. Certainly the Guantanamo story with the Maddow insert would have fulfilled Hain's desire for news.
17I need to find this on Hulu--missed it last night.
18This cr@p belongs on pop sugar and you know it.
19It is only on here because people love publishing gossip, and fluff, so you feel all happy inside about an Obama administration. Really, you care that Obama gets a dog, wii, 3 legged stool? Come on now!
20And where in the world is Biden articles? I heard that he was going to channel Cheney while in office. Oh but Obama is just so trendy right now. As is bashing the Bush administration.
21I'm just glad we stopped having three posts a day of SNL clips. I know they have a promotional partnership with NBC, but it was getting ridiculous.
22Haha. This is soo funny. As for the Suzanne clip with Bush, I think he was doing that on purpose but it was funny either way
23Jon Stewart brings welcomed comedy to real news events. I am personally very grateful for the reprieve.
24Organic, most people agreed the Sadist, Puppet, Etc. post was ridiculous. The other post that included excerpts from the Rachel Maddow show were not about Rachel Maddow's opinion, but were quoting a military official with first source knowledge on the post subject.
25I didn't say everyone thought it was a great post. Because it was ridiculous, and that's obvious to everyone.
I just don't see why every time someone complains about the posts and sources, someone tells them they don't have to read it. As if someone's opinion who loves the story is more important than someone who thinks it's inappropriate.
I hope most people have noticed the serious decline in stories with issues worth discussing around here.
26"I hope most people have noticed the serious decline in stories with issues worth discussing around here."
Yep.
27Oh ok, I do agree there has been a serious decline.
28Most days I don't even find the posts comment worthy. I come here less and less often.
29I for one could not give a flying fig about whether or not Obama gets a dog or a Wii.
Didn't the decline in stories start before the election when the layoffs took place? At this point, I kinda think this is how it is going to be. I can't see wasting my time reading and commenting on stories I don't find interesting. Personally, I find the stories posted on Liberal and Conservative much more interesting at this point.
Even before the stories went downhill, they did Colbert and Daily show clips. They don't belong on pop because they are political even though they are mostly just jokes and cheap shots. Now if Stewart was talking about Miley Cirus, that clip should go on pop.
30"Didn't the decline in stories start before the election when the layoffs took place?"
That's when I first started noticing it. Granted, I haven't been here as long as some, but I was pretty excited to see interesting stories being sampled from a variety of sources when I showed up. If I had just heard about it today, and read the recent stories, I certainly wouldn't make an account.
31To clarify, though, the bias isn't really a problem for me. I get a kick out of it. It's just the unstimulating stories.
32Geez, people. Calm down. The websites on this network have the word "sugar" in their names. It's a joke, and since it's politics-related, it doesn't really belong on PopSugar (there's that word again!), IMO. Big whoop, it's a Jon Stewart post. So what?
33"It is only on here because people love publishing gossip, and fluff, so you feel all happy inside about an Obama administration."
I also don't need fluff to make me feel "all happy" inside about an Obama administration. I feel good about an Obama administration regardless of his dog's name, his mother-in-law's presence in the White House, or his choice of a baseball team.
34I'm getting tired of people complaining about the content on the website. If you don't like it, bounce. That's what I do.
35I'm happy cause Obama is gonna give me a unicorn.
36
37I'm going to name mine Violet.
38WHAT?!? How'd you get your unicorn already?
39I was at the top of the list. I know people. So there.
40Can I "borrow" your unicorn?
41No. But you can keep my froggy.
He picked a flower for you.
42I already got my leprechaun. Next he's going to grant me a date with Colin Farrell.
43Hmm. Froggy is not the same as Unicorn.
44I'm sorry Sarah. I was being Selfish. Don't cry. You can have one of your very own.
45LOL you guys crack me up!
I agree with EM! Its citizenSUGAR!! You must know that it isn't really all "news" but anything related to news to keep us discussing it or laughing about it.
46Really who cares? If it bothers you that much to sit here and pout then why not go to foxnews online or another news website?
"Really who cares? If it bothers you that much to sit here and pout then why not go to foxnews online or another news website?"
47Oh Momma- you just had to throw in the fox news comment. Please stop. For the love of God I come on this website to have conversation about news with people I have come to enjoy. But this man is not news. The fact that anyone portrays him as such is why our kids think of him as a news reporter they trust. People don't see that as a problem. That our kids trust Jon Stewart to deliver news fairly... HAH! I just wish they would post better stories. I don't have a right to say that? They wanted us talking. I am talking. Now you don't like what I am saying, then leave!
Why not just post Perez Hiltons opinions on this page? You know he does mention politics sometimes...
Who actually thinks that Jon Stewart delivers straight unbiased news? Who are these "kids"?
48If you can't tell the difference between Perez Hilton and Jon Stewart, then...yeah.
49And kas raises a good question--who trusts Stewart to deliver unbiased news? As he said during his (awesome) interview on that lame Tucker Carlson show a few years back, "My show is on after a show about puppets who make prank calls". I don't get the confusion here.
