If you can't make it to DC next week, or want a reason to skip out of work, you could head down to a movie theater Tuesday to watch Barack Obama's inauguration. Dozens of theaters around the country will be airing the inauguration and parade, starting at 11 a.m. EST (8 a.m. PST).
MSNBC and Screenvision are behind the big (screen) idea, so if you prefer Anderson and Wolfe to Keith and Chris, you probably shouldn't show up. But if you are interested, you can check locations and get free tickets on MSNBC's website.

Yes I would go, but I'm not going all the way to Bellevue (from Seattle) for it. Seeing as I also don't have a TV, I may end up listening to my trusty NPR station (KUOW).
1No thanks. Seeing it on TV is good enough for me. I don't need to donate $10.00+ to relive this event.
2I'll be on a plane, boo! Otherwise I would just watch it on TV at home, can't beat that comfort.
3I wish I could see clips from the afterparty/ball, since my friend gets to go AND play (he's a trumpet player) for the party. Lucky.
4I also don't know if I could take Chris Matthews on the big screen.
5It sounds fun, but we're already planning to be at home with friends, drinking and celebrating as we watch.
6I'd go and drag the kid, if I didn't have to work.
7"No thanks. Seeing it on TV is good enough for me. I don't need to donate $10.00+ to relive this event."
Ha. ha. ha.
Still sore, eh? I know, I know...the beatdown was pretty brutal.
8If i didn't have the kids I would..it would be fun!
9INDIE!!!
10(aaaand love the avatar, too!)
11And of course, my avatar also.
He was pretty smokin' on the View today.
12Mmmhmm.
He's smokin' everywhere, girl.
13He was smokin' some pretty interesting stuff in last week's episode.
14I'm quite content watching it on my TV at home. Actually, I'll be at work, so I won't be watching it at all unless we all cram into the conference room to watch it.
15
Yesterday's was great too. The elevator scene with Blair killed me.
16I am so glad I've got my man into watching it
17The show's got some amazing eye candy, for guys and gals.
Don't know why but when Chuck was with those slurts in Bart's office, I found his 'look' to be extremely sexy. He just looked different.
18I am going to be traveling that day, but I think I will still be on the ground with family that morning. Is it going to last all day? I AM SO EXCITED!!! I can't believe that we really made this happen! When I started supporting him as a candidate, I did so knowing it was very possible that he wouldn't even be the candidate, much less the winner of the general election!
Wow. I have to say that knowing that millions of other people contributed their time and money to supporting his candidacy makes me feel good. I feel more apart of a broader national community than I ever have before. When you work hard as a team, miracles really can happen. I am looking forward to seeing where this spirit of service takes us!
By the way, Mon. Jan 19th is a not only MLK Jr. Day, it is also a national day of service. Contribute by volunteering at a local food bank, mentoring, etc. this weekend! I am going to be out of state, but I am still going to volunteer!
19Yeah, the cracked-out dishevelment actually worked for him.
Also, I love the word "slurt"!
Brandon almost choked when he saw Blair during that scene where she's all dressed up for the fancy dinner with Chuck that never happened.
20naw I'll be watching it on TV
21"Still sore, eh? I know, I know...the beatdown was pretty brutal."
Nah, just picky about what I spend my money on. I don't go and see a lot of movies because I don't see them being worth the money.
As to the beat down, 52%-48% isn't much of a beatdown. Electorially, yes it looked bad. The Republicans will do better in 4 years.
22She's very pretty(and I love her) but Jessica's my girl. I think she's one of the most gorgeous women I've ever seen. I really liked her when she was on 'What About Brian'(she looked like a grown-up then) and I was stoked when she was cast on GG. She's actually the reason why I started watching the show. The character's a dud though but she's not a bad actress, it's the writing...she doesn't get enough screen time.
23Good luck with that one, Dave. I genuinely believe that your party has the peoples' best interest at heart.
Really.
Truly.

Thanks for the reminder Jillness - I'll try to figure out a way to volunteer to do more than sleep in!
25I had to turn my head upside down to see who that guy is in your avi Indie! LOL!
hotttt!
26We'll be watching at the office. During election day we had battles over CNN vs. Fox News. Not sure if the office conservatives will put up a fight this time; they'll probably stay away from all coverage. Us liberals (def the minority in the office!) probably won't get much work done!
27"Us liberals (def the minority in the office!) probably won't get much work done!"
Isn't that the norm?
*I'm kidding.
28Exactly, UnDave. The liberals don't do any work and we make the conservatives pay for it. It's just the natural order of things.
29I think the library is going to put it on TV upstairs so the patrons and us staff can watch. Yay library!
30"Exactly, UnDave. The liberals don't do any work and we make the conservatives pay for it. It's just the natural order of things."
31I'll be working, but I think we're all going to cram into our conference room to watch.
32I'm planning to work from home that day so that I can leave CNN on all day. Yay!
33why on earth would I go to a theatre when I have my warm house and TV? I am also mad people are trying to make so much money off this event...good grief. Instead of paying to this in a theatre, send that money to the Salvation Army or Red Cross. If you DO go to a theatre and waste your money, you cannot complain about our deficit. You vote in this country with the DOLLAR, not the ballot.
34wow,things are hostile.
35Election's over
36Yikes.
37I live in DC and the majority of the people I know are leaving town this weekend b/c of all of the chaos that is going to go on and has just been building up since Obama was elected.
38I'm not sure I'd be willing to miss the chance to witness something so historic.
39jeez.
40I think i have to kill some frogs that day, or get a bikini wax, or maybe a root canal?
41and BTW, i didnt watch Bushs inaguration either.
