I bet Greg Hardesty was glad he had AT&T's unlimited text messaging plan when he counted how many text messages his teen daughter sent in a month. His eyes almost popped out of his head when his 440 page AT&T online statement revealed that his 13-year-old daughter Reina had sent 14,528 text messages in one month! Hardesty calculated that Reina had to have sent 484 text messages a day, or about one text message every two minutes she was awake that month. Holy crap. That's a lot of WTFs, OMGs, LOLs and ROTFLs! Holy...that's insane!
1My 14 yr. old did 10,343 last month. Yup, we have the unlimited text plan. She does in one day what I text in a whole month.
2aren't most text messages something like "late out"? why bother? i don't get the whole texting thing.
314,528 text a month is pretty insane. But I can understand. I actually text way more then I talk on the phone. I'd rather txt someone then call. What if they're busy? They can get to my Text when they're free.
4I remember sitting on the phone for many hours was the norm for teen girls before cell phones, so I'm not really surprised. Altho that number does make me cringe a little.
5I'd rather text, too. I can absolutely see doing this many if texts had been around when I was a teen.
6This is ludicrous. Its about time the parents set some boundaries. Maybe get her out of the house and involved in some sports.
7i have an unlimited text plan. i can easily do 14,000 a month too.
8holy cow!
9thats hilarious, did anyone ask what on earth she was texting? or do they just not care?
No child should have a phone anyway. IMO. Or one that just has the ability to call home, emergency and God.
