The oldest daughter of Pakistan's assassinated former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto, who was killed in a combination of gunfire and suicide bombing at a rally last year, has written and recorded a rap-infused song expressing the pain over her mother's death. The album, "I Would Take the Pain Away," and a five-minute video of clips and photographs of Benazir Bhutto has made its way to YouTube. Lyrics include:
My mother was murdered. I don't even comprehend. Was it worth dying for? I'm walking through screened doors. . . . No comfort or ease. I'm begging you please God bless the deceased.

I know Bhutto grew up in a political family that had endured past assassinations - but as a mom, I can't get my head around the idea that anything is more important than living for your children. Once they're adults, fine do what you will but until then, I just can't see it.
1This song sounded sad, but I admit I turned it of after about 1 minute because there was this annoying hum. I don't know if it was recorded poorly or what. I'm begging that my God bless everyone. That was a very unfortunate and sad turn of events.
2That woman was beautiful. The song is so tragic.
3While I disagreed with some of Bhutto's political opinions in her last book, I still think that she was a phenomenal woman. Pakistan really needed her. I hope her children understand their mother's sacrifice was for the greater good.
