yup, I would agree that if you spot a "rude" question being asked of you and you answered it, you felt into the trap of the other person. Regardless of how you answer that question, the other
person is going to tweak it to fit into a humiliation for you. When someone posed a "rude" question to you, her/his intention is very clear, it is neither going to be friendly or with a
purpose of getting to know you more. Being "rude" attracts too much negativity, if you avoid answering it, it is not a sign of weakness but rather a sign that you are able to repel the
negativity.
