Tracking your period can be a nuisance, especially if you're forgetful, but don't fret because the folks at BabyCenter.com are here to help. Their genius Booty Caller is a free text message service that will alert you three times per month, letting you know when you're most fertile and offering up other helpful fertility advice. If you're trying not to get pregnant, use this information as a reminder to be extra careful with your birth control during ovulation.
The "Booty Caller" can alleviate one of your monthly worries, so ladies, tell me, do you think this free service is a good idea or a bad idea?

I wouldn't souly rely on that, though.
1can i choose "weird idea"?
2who comes up with this crap
I don't like the name, but the idea is interesting.
3I agree, weird.
4Indeed wierd, but whatever works I guess..
5I feel like the only people who would trust this, would be those who see those ads " TEXT 5-5-6-5-6 AND SEE IF YOU AND YOUR BOYFRIEND WILL GET MARRIED AND BE HAPPY FOR EVER!!" and think they actually work, and then text them and get charged obscene amounts of money to text names to some fake company.
6wierd name...but it is kind of cool I guess but I wouldn't rely on that solely to prevent babies!
7The fact that it's called "booty caller" has peaked my interest. I will have to investigate.
8I already use this! I'm trying to get pregnant. I put my husband's cell number in instead of mine though heehee
Why do folks think this is wierd?
9If someone is dumb enough to rely on this in order to prevent pregnancy with unprotected sex... I choose stupid idea...
10lol
All in all I don't think its a good or bad idea... its weird...random...
plus_2_kid... makes sense for trying to get pregnant... I guess I was thinking of it the wrong way
11LoL...and what happens when there's an error in the service and it misstells you when you're ovulating...and you end up pregnant when it wasn't your intention, then what? Hahaha... Who's paying for it anyway...there's no such thing as free in this world.
12I get emails with the same info from www.mymonthlycycles.com
13I wanted to add though, that I don't use that as a birth control method though, nor do I think this service suggests you do.
14It's a good idea if you're trying to get pregnant, but for preventing it? I think I'll stick to good old contraceptives thank you!
15HAHA I went to the site and it gives examples of the texts they'd send you: "Today is your last fertile day! If you get pregnant during this cycle, your due date will be on or around 6.25.2009." I would not want this as an aid to my birth control method. Imagine your boyfriend or whomever seeing that text when you are not trying to get pregnant! It's cute for those couples that are having a difficult time conceiving though!
16I guess it's a good idea but I can't see myself ever depending on something like that.
