The Hills has wrapped for the season, but not to worry, we now have The City! With a new cast of characters comes a slew of new drama — the good, the bad, and I'm sure, the ugly. If you tuned in last night, you know that Whitney moved to the big apple for a new career and a new man, but it seems like her new love interest has already caused his fair share of turmoil within the group.

As we all know, the beginning of a relationship can be tough — you don't always know where you stand, and it's easy for feelings and rumors to be misconstrued. On the other hand, there's nothing as exciting as the unknown future with that person. Most of us have experienced this so tell me, do you enjoy the excitement of a blossoming relationship or could you do without the awkward stage?

It is tough but also exciting...and you get all those lovely tingles right in the beginning. But I admit all that figuring out if you are exclusive, if you are right for each other, what pisses each other off, how you fight and how to end a fight and etc is tiring. The sparks in the beginning and the excitement does make up for all that though
1"do you enjoy the excitement of a blossoming relationship or could you do without the awkward stage? "
Yes and no. And yes.
I wish it were love at first sight. Two 12 hour dates and a
wedding on the third date. LOL That's how much I enjoy the dating process.
2I realize I don't want to date. I want to be 'married'. My definition of marriage is not traditional to say the least and I won't share because someone will surely say something and piss me off.
So, I'm just going to start auditioning/interviewing a potential husband.
2009
sounds like an interesting year already!!
3I enjoy it because it's new and exciting-but it can also be confusing and frustrating, and also can make me feel unsure about what will come of the relationship.
4I enjoy an established relationship a lot more because of the comfort, security, and emotional and mental support that you get from sharing time and experiences with your significant other. Nothing is better than that!
I always enjoyed the beginning of a relationship. By far the most fun. It was years before I felt the head-rush-butterflies in your stomach feeling that I felt when I first met my husband, when I finally did again oh it was so amazing again.
5Oh Mesayme I'm one of those weird traditional romantic types and I did fall in love with my husband within a week. We were planning to elope when I got all crazy and thought that wasn't a good idea. Turns out I got all crazy because I was pregnant! Well we waited 2 years before we did get married and we're still in love and soon to have child #2! So keep your eye out you too may fall in love at first sight!
6I guess I do, and I don't. It's stressful, but also exciting. Plus you get really, really tired when you date a lot - you don't get a lot of time to sleep, especially if you're working and juggling other commitments as well.
7The beginning is always the best because everyone puts their best foot forward and tries to hide their shortcomings and bad habits. I love how I'm the focus and am doted on. It seems like after a while guys just stop trying. The phone calls come less frequently and the urge to see you lessens.. but perhaps I start stuff with the wrong guys.
8"So keep your eye out you too may fall in love at first sight!"
Well, maybe bluepuppybites. But the last encounter left me far too cynical
I was
just enjoying being free-thinking for a minute. lol
9I have no intentions of 'falling' in love again.
I absolutely LOVE that process! When the guy is still a mystery and you're getting to know each other little by little you never know what to expect. And you get to tell him all your cute childhood stories and experiences and get all giddy telling your girlfriends about him. Haha, come to think of it I wouldn't mind skipping the relationship bit and just falling in love with new guys all the time just to get that high! (Okay not really, but maybe in a fantasy world)
10Love the feelings of high anticipation, hate the feelings of insecurity. I always think I'm about to get dumped. I suppose it's natural, but I could do without it.
11Mesayme.......you're too funny.
I used to like the beginning of a relationship until real feelings came into play. Then all the uncertainties and insecurities would come into play. I HATED that and was never very good at it.
But that didn't happen with my fiance. No games, no questions; it just worked from day one. Thank God!
12Beginnings are the best. And I will never have one again.. LOL.
13i think that sometimes the drama is good for the excitement factor, but if you have too many waves in the beginning you have to wonder if it's going to be like that for the long haul. i think that when you are in the honeymoon stage for a while - then that's what makes it the most fun, and when you're not able to trust someone off the bat (like whitney is finding) then i don't know if it's really worth it. you don't want to second guess everything from the start.
