I'm so glad gas prices have dropped. They are about $1.46 here. Yippie!
NORAD won't have to watch Santa come to my house... he's not visiting me. Well he may bring me some coal.
Is it just me who thinks the pictures of him spreading his grandmothers ashes are way more inappropriate than the pictures of him shirtless? I mean that is something that should be respected!
Bas, I feel weird about the pictures either way. It's like they are stalking him. I hate when they do it to celebrities but he is a politician and I hate when they take pictures of the children. I wish we did what they do in other countries and block out the faces of the kids at least.
I agree that it isn't polite to invade what should be a private moment for BO. Unfortunately, there are people who want to see this, and those people are willing to pay money to see it. So, if there's a buck to be made, someone's going to take the pictures in order to make said money.
I think it's inappropriate for them to stalk him like they have been. The fact that Obama is considered a celebrity really bothers me for some reason. I mean, he's a public figure and the President-elect. Why is the paparazzi stalking him?
*sigh* And yes, I think it's extremely inappropriate and rude for them to snap pictures of him spreading his grandmother's ashes. Glad I didn't click the link.
It feels like a miracle how low gas prices are right now.
And Dave, I agree with you completely about the pictures-of-Obama thing.
Gas is $1.57 here. It took less than $20 to fill the tank.
Hmmm, I thought gas prices were creeping up again.
I can't wait to watch Santa's sleigh!
Gas prices not being up is not something that came from the heavens. It's amazing what can happen when the all speculation stop. There's a planned withdawal of troops from Iraq and Bush and Cheney Stopped threatening to invade Iran every 5 seconds. Why do you think Cheney put all his assets in oil prior to the war. The Bush family business is OIL. wake up people.
nadia- It has nothing to do with any of that. Sorry but you don't know what you are talking about. Someone fed you wrong info. Since Bush is still in office, don't you think that if it really did benefit him as you say it does, that the prices would still be up.... it's called the economy fluctuates and the price of oil is set by speculators not bush. Don't get me started on the speculation of oil, as it is a sore spot for me, but it is definitely not Bush. Ugh....
Now the fact the citizen puts "Front Page- Bo attends Grandma's funeral" is the reason why he is stalked like a celebrity. Why would that be front page news???? There is the question you all need to be asking.
Hainan, Well said!!! My response to nadia:
And Dave, you got me with the 'BO!'
did someone spike nadias Egg Nog?
I don't get why calling him BO correlates to celebristism. It's his initials, people call Bush "G.W." all the time. Maybe I'm missing something.
FyA, it's just quicker to type BO than Obama.... As far as him being a 'celebrity,' he's not. He's just in the public eye. There will always be paparazzi trying to get pictures of him and his family - like Dave said, anything for the almighty $$$$$$$.
