Really this is the guy you really want to prep the next president for a crisis? What is he going to tell Obama "duck"
1As long as OB can duck like President Bush.

3Ohh Em, you're so bad - darn Chicago people.

Can't take credit for it--found it on one of my favorite blogs, Deus Ex Malcontent.
5"Really this is the guy you really want to prep the next president for a crisis? What is he going to tell Obama "duck" "
Forewarning: I am going to be inflammatory. It is complete hubris for Obama and/or his supporters to think that his adminsitration would be adequately prepared to deal with a major event that happened on or shortly after his inauguration day. I understand that people don't like Bush and love Obama, but the Bush administration has had the time to draw up the necessary plans to deal with crisis situations. It is very important to ensure the continual safety of our nation by providing this information for immediate use until Obama can draw up his own plans.
I also think it is great that they are giving this play in press.
6"Really this is the guy you really want to prep the next president for a crisis? What is he going to tell Obama 'duck"
Actually, he's probably going to tell him the secret stuff that the common public doesn't know about, like which tunnel is used by the President to get to the airport the fastest, and which one is the tunnel used by the VP, that doesn't really go anywhere...
7See he is a good guy and has the best interests of American citizens in mind. IMO this is better then seeing Obama get "tested" as Biden said. Hopefully if he does get "tested" then he will be prepared for it.
8That link is stupid and childish.
9Oh Good Lord, it was a joke.
10Like y'know how Bush said the shoe-throwing is what happens in democratic, free societies? People can make funny videos in democratic, free societies too, and post them on websites as jokes. See? It works everywhere!
11Em-
I certainly enjoy a good joke (I'll cop to not clicking on your link though - sorry!).
However, it is also happens that people can voice their opinions of other people's jokes in democratic, free societies.
12'UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown announced that British troops will fully withdrawal from Iraq by May 31, leaving the US as the only foreign military presence in the country.'
The cheese stands alone
13Very true, kranky.
I'm glad for that, even when people disagree with me!
UD--Bush also has to tell Obama that he has to jiggle the handle on the toilet outside of the Lincoln Bedroom. (Sorry, that's from an OLD SNL sketch with Dana Carvey as Bush. Ah the randomness that clutters my brain.)
14"The cheese stands alone."
No, our troops stand alone.
15Well, I guess we are the last players, mydiadem...
16LOL nobody gets sarcasim if it's typed I was making a joke. Of course the out going president is the one that has to brief the incoming president...lay off the caffine people sheesh! But seriously Bush does need to tell Obama to get better secret service people the reaction time of his when the shoes were being thrown is really terrible!
17Good point about the secret service--I was wondering the same thing. I assume that if they're ready to take a bullet for Bush, they should also be willing to take a shoe. Or two.
Didn't they also allow Jenna (or Barbara) Bush's purse to get stolen in Mexico or something like that? I could have sworn I heard that a few years ago.
18"Very true, kranky. I'm glad for that, even when people disagree with me!"
Here, here! Thanks be to the non-denominational-higher-power-or-lack-thereof that we are all free to agree to disagree.
19I mean what if there was a bomb in the shoe or the shoe was laced with some type of chemical/toxin secret service was way off the mark on this one!
20yeah em a joke that was childish and stupid. I didn't say don't post the link, just letting others know not to click on it because it was lame. That's all. Post away!
21I appreciate the ytmnd link. Those are fun. Some are crap, but others are really funny.
22Don't like our troops standing alone in Iraq?
23Bring them home.
Exactly, Steph. Let's see if Obama lives up to his campaign promise.
24Well there's nothing like putting the rubber to the pavement with a little adrenaline in you veins.
25We do need to bring the troops home, but we also need to do it strategically. The British had already started their retreat from Iraq since last year. It time for us to start doing the same.
26It's a good effort, and I applaud the apparently unprecedented scop and depth. I just hope the advice offered when faced with, say, a terrorist attack isn't anything along the lines of "use it to bomb the sh!t out of a country that had nothing to do with the attack in the first place."
27...$100 says Obama would not have been able to move that fast.
28ZeZe - I think your right.
29Bella/ZeZe both you guys are wrong...Obama has moves!

ahahaha
30For one thing you are wrong for breakin out Soul Train. I always wanted to do the ST line. Those outfits. OB is not expecting that type of situation. Bush was flawless and then brought his head up and then ducked again - he is a pro.
31lol, he smirked as he ducked, like "whoa, you gotta be F***in kiddin me" - it's the frat boy in him!
