Why stash beef jerky in your bag when you can just chew it right off your bag! (I would kill to see a well-dressed woman doing that on public transportation — imagine the reactions!) Created by design student genius Nancy Wu at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA, this 100-percent Beef Jerky Chanel bag project is a commentary of sorts on designer accessories. Whatever the commentary is, all I can say is that from far away, this looks like weathered snakeskin. It's kinda brilliant and gross at the same time. Wanna see some closeups? 2I would still eat it.
BTW ferret, that's a great picture. Looks like you're on your way to or from Conney Island.
Damn, I miss NYC...
3I like this design...(smile) The construction is amazing!
4I would eat it too, wouldn't wear it though! Pretty awesome idea.
5how repulsive. disgusting.
6Imagining the way it smells is grossing me out lol
7Perfect for road trips.
8Look at that stitching--that is so a knockoff beef jerky Chanel bag!
It is quite creative! Reading some of the reactions to this, I think the message about designer accessories, and about accessories in general that are made with animal skins, is a success.
I hesitate to think that someone may create a merino lambchop sweater in spirit of this.
9gross!
10why?
11Any woman going out in public with this won't have it long. Think of all the dogs chasing after her... Not just unfortunate strays, but leashed dogs dragging their owners behind them (small dogs excluded). Then again, some guys would be VERY happy to "fall" for the woman with a beef jerky bag.
