Every year right after Christmas, most of us start thinking about our New Year's resolutions. I try to come up with one I can actually keep, but as we all know, that's easier said than done! Since it's almost that time again, tell me, what New Year's resolutions — if any — did you keep in 2008?

I just continue any resolutions made half way through the year.
1I don't make resolutions.
2Well I wanted to learn how to drive standard! And guess what??? I did! And I own a standard car too!!!
3don't make any ...
4maybe for 2009 I will make one ... to not be single yet another valentines day lol
I didn't make a "new years" resolution I strive everyday to make today better than yesterday.
5I made the resolution to stop drinking bottled water in 2008 - and I actually did it! I can count on one hand the number of times I bought bottled water, so I was really proud of myself.
6I lost weight, quite unexpectedly, and when I wasnt even trying that hard to anymore. Glad it finally happened for me. But now I have to find a whole new resolution for next year!
7I don't really make resolutions. My new year starts with the school year in August
But I make a list of steps to take to achieve yearly goals and I maintained all that I could control (the economy and job market is out of my control evidently)
8I don't really make resolutions for the sake of it being New Year's. When I do, it is usually something reasonable and specific. I did last year though and I kept it. It was to keep up my physical therapy and work on getting my walking legs back as part of an accident recovery.
BTW, great resolution adw! Congrats.
9i don't make resolutions either
10i don't know...i forgot them all!
11I kept them all halfway through the year and then the rest of the year I completely blew them.
My resolutions were: keep losing weight and becoming debt-free. I'll start working on them again, though.
12I don't know...
I lost weight!
13I said I wanted to be friends with more bartenders. Recently I found myself out to sushi and I looked around and realized I was with some of SF's top mixologist...mission accomplished!
14I lost weight, too! I started dieting in January, but soon gave up. I restarted in August and have lost 50lbs so far. Better later than never
I'm just sorry I didn't keep my resolution to read 100 novels this year - I didn't even come close to that number!
15To read more, learn to snowboard, and to make 2008 a better year for me than 2007. I kept all of them except snowboarding, it was a crappy year for snow in the Poconos so I just didn't have the chance. That one's back on the list for 2009 along with learning to drive a standard! (That's awesome you did it Lovely!)
16I honestly don't remember if I had made any resolutions or not.
17Can't recall...
18I quit smoking.
19No smoking, and 10 pound lighter. :]
20new years resolution?
uh...er...who cares about 2008? 2009 woohoo!
21I finally learned to swim and lost some fear of water, and I worked out more than last year
22I always have a list of 10 resolutions for the year; I've only accomplished one and that was to be healthier (though I haven't been AS healthy as I've wanted too.
.)
2009 is a fresh year with new possibilities.
23Vowed to find a new apartment - check
Stop drinking 5 Diet Cokes a day - check (down to two a week!)
Um, can't remember anything after those two!!
24I made an effort to be more active and volunteer more. I ended up doing a triathlon for charity, two birds with one stone!
25I made two and kept to them
