It wasn't only celebrities that tied the knot this year; many of us common folk did as well! And if you feel like you're always the bridesmaid and never the bride, I'll bet you attended your fair share of celebrations this year. They can be expensive, time consuming, and a bit monotonous, but they can also be lots of fun! So ladies, tell me, how many weddings did you attend in 2008?

None-pretty much everyone I know is "waiting" to get married..and having a hard time growing up. I guess they'll be in their 40's before they pop the big question.
1none!
2Wow, my first year without a wedding! A couple years ago I went to five!
3Two, mine and my husband's best friend. This was the first year of weddings for out groups of friends, next year there are more!
42, one of my friends from college and one of my husband's friends from law school.
5One - My own!
62, my brother and one of my best friends.
7none ... wish there was one ... hopefully next year
8Just one, where my boy was the best man...o unless u count that wedding we stalked while on the beach in the bahamas
9I could have attended several but I don't actually like the people who got married.
10I got married this year! And we attended one more!
11Oops, I put one but meant two. Both cousins.
12Just mine...
13A few of my bf's friends have gotten married or are about to in the next yr. His friends are all cool people so I enjoyed the weddings.
14One. That was enough!
15weddings? you mean baby showers! argh
16Only one thank, goodness.
17One - my own.
18this year was quite a doozy.....8 weddings altogether....and only one local!! fun but there goes my savings!
19one..thank god.
20Ooooppss, I put none, but I forgot that I went to one this year. My aunt's.
VolleyJen14: 8!!! holy cow that's a lot!
215 last year, 4 this year, 2 next year (so far)...I'm just in the middle of 'the wedding years'!
22I'm grateful to say none, but I will be making up for that next year!
23I think three: my boyfriend's brother's, my friend's, and my cousin's.
24Five. I've been invited to three next year already (January, February, March).
25One -- I was a bridesmaid in my sister's wedding.
26One...but just as a date. I never understood the whole bring a date to someone's wedding thing lol...I mean who really cares?
27No weddings this year. 1 next year.
Babies and Pregnancies, now, that's a different story...and my friends are in their mid-20s!
28None! I don't have a big family, I have younger sisters, and none of my friends are quite that serious with their boyfriends yet (and we're slightly too young to marry).
29none...but i did send cards to several out of state..(relatives)
30Four! And at least two more lined up for next year, and I'm in one of them. It'd be helpful if I had a job....
31three, but for anyone that knows indian weddings, they go on for days!!
32None. I actually wish I did go to one.
33one, my sister's
34Two- a friend's and my cousin's.
35three. all of my boyfriend's family. he has 30+ cousins and they are all at the marrying age about now. at least the receptions are fun. that many cousins makes for a good time.
36One - my own.
37One! :wahoo: Seems we're growing out of the wedding age and moving on to babies!! Not that I hate weddings, but they get to be a bit much......we had 11 one year! AHHH! So expensive! LOL
38Two ... both of them were destination weddings: one in Scotland and the other in Italy.
39Seven, most of them were my friends others were family friends. Plus I have two more coming up this month.
402 - Both times I went with my sister to keep her company. All of my friends are married and have been for 1-2 years. I'm the lone single gal now.
4111! I'll be giving gifts until next April...
42I only had 3. 15 or more-I can't imagine!
43None
44I went to 15... gosh, I'm surprised I'm not an alcoholic with all the champagne flutes I downed!!!
45Well,atleast it was an excuse to buy cocktail dresses...
Including my own, three.
46Crap. I voted none. And as my vote was calculating, I remembered there WAS one. Bummer. I was drunk through most of it anyway. Does it still count? LOL
47Well, I counted one Western wedding, but I did not include the three East Indian weddings I went to in the summer. The Western wedding was my third non-Indian wedding that I have ever been to, and I find them to be such relaxing affairs in comparison to the two-three week insanity that is an East Indian wedding.
