Often a home-cooked meal is even better than going out because you can really talk as opposed to figuring out what to order, people-watching, etc.
1Ugh, please. As a gift? My husband has come to expect me to cook him a homemade dinner from scratch EVERY night despite the fact that I often work 80+ hours/week. A GIFT would be going out rather than me over the stove roughly 360 nights/year!
2Homecooked meals can definitely be expensive, too, depending on what you cook and on what type of wine you get!
