I came across a very timely article on The Frisky the other day about how not to become a party pariah in front of your family, co-workers, or friends. I'm sure most of you will be attending your fair share of holiday parties this year so I thought it'd be a good idea to share its four suggestions with you, and offer up four of my own, too! Check out their tips below:

- Keep the booze in check
- Invite one date at a time
- Don't drunk dial
- Keep your inner stripper at bay
To see my suggestions, read more
- Don't say anything that you wouldn't say sober
- Don't overstay your welcome — no one likes a lingering party guest
- Don't overdo the PDA
- Be mindful of wardrobe malfunctions

lol good tips to follow
1I think Don't overstay your welcome is really important! If you're going to stay late, at least help me clean up a little! Otherwise, just leave when everyone else does!
2I think a good one is if your going over somebody's house or someone has invited you to a holiday party, to bring a hostess's gift to them to show that you appreciate all the work that they have done to make the party fab-u-lous
3lol keep inner stripper at bay, check.
4Oh man, don't overstay your welcome is a biggie. I always have at least a handful of party lingerers...and it's usually people you barely know.
5So basically you should just use common sense and good manners?

I wish I had a job...guess I'll be hanging out with my bro maybe drinking...in his room
celebrating his graduation with him.
7I'm pretty sure there's one person out there that would break all those rules...hehe, would make a good movie.
8Love the last suggestion. I'll be using plenty of double sided tape (even though my dress is not all that revealing). Can't wait for my company holiday party on Friday
9Ugh, the last party I threw, it was in my friends honor because he is leaving for the air force next week (how sad!) and these two people I barely knew stayed after he did, and just would not leave!
So please, do not over stay your welcome! It is very annoying.
10A party guest (not paid entertainment) stripped at the last party I went to. To Nelly's "Hot in Herre". He was going to stop at the boxers, but someone pulled them down so everyone got an eyeful. Wasn't anyone I know, though. Just some friend of a friend of a friend.
It was just kind of funny. Though possibly not for him.
11the PDA one is a good reminder. when i get drinking, i end up being much more smoochy smoochy with my bf then i probably should be. nothing vulgar, but at an anniversary party for his colleague the other day i can remember sitting on his lap by about 1am. i probably shouldn't have done that!
12Too much to drink ...
13Already made that mistake in my Christmas party saturday ...
but it was good times
Great tips! Here's one more - eat a light dinner before you attend the party! Especially if you're going to have some drinks, you should not show up hungry. Learned my lesson a few times at parties where there is food served but it's only light appetizers and those don't absorb the alcohol!
14Hmm. A list of no-brainers.
