So if the dems get the super-majority, do we get to call an end to the blaming of republicans in 2009?
1Clean water is so important and it is such a shame it is not available to everyone in this day and age
2I've never seen a single Martin sign in my city.
3I guess all of his rap star pals aren't helping to win over urban Augusta like he thought they would.
Wait T.I., Young Jeezy ( Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah), and Ludacris...is this the Hip Hop Awards or a Senate race? That has to be the most hilarious political picture I have seen in my life!
4Does anyone else love the name Saxby.
5Amen UnDave- oh and sorry bout yesterday!
6Am I forgiving you, or did something else happen that I've forgotten? IM me please.
7bellaressa, if you had to hear Saxby's wife say his name in her ridiculous drawn out drawl in his ads, you wouldn't like it half as much. Plus, he's really mean.
I hope Jim Martin pulls this one out, but I'm doubtful. He may have a presence here in Atlanta, but as foxie said, I don't think it's translating across the state. Saxby just has more money.
8that really is a funny political picture!
9Does anyone think he listens to their music or watch their movies?
10yes im positive this guy goes around singing "I put on fo my city. on on for my city..."
no no better yet.. "I got hoes..i got hoes...in different area codes.."
LOL.
11That picture is hilarious. Is Georgia's state song going to be "Move Bi$ch" now? Talk about questionable associations, wasn't TI in prison not too long ago for gun charges?
12roarman your so right...not the best guy to be up there right now!
13But he's so dreamy!
14thank you Robert Mugabe I hope you rot in hell.
15who's dreamy blue?
16" I putttttttttttttttttt oooooooon on on"
17Jim Martin duh!!
18LOL...
19Ok I confess. I was given silly putty yesterday. I've been playing with it at work all morning. It's having a silly effect on me.
20you didn't eat any did you?
21I was about to..but then I left for lunch.
22I will be very happy when the day is over and I no longer have to see Chambliss and Martin political ads duking it out on TV :/
23No, no, no...TI is GOING to jail, he hasn't been there yet!
I think his year long
sentence starts in March or something.
I thought it was hilarious when Palin was speaking for the Republician candidate yesterday and said this election was for "Alaska". Um, no it is for who is going to represent the people of Georgia! She is quite awkward with out the McCain speech writers helping her out.
24The Governator says legislators should "get off of their rigid ideologies", but all the Dems will consider is raising taxes.
The sales tax and income taxes are already among the highest in the country, doesn't this sound a bit like a feudal state? Just keep squeezing the peasants.... People already can't afford to live here.
25I am so happy to see Young Jeezy on POPSUGAR!! haha I love him, he's got the sexiest voice ever.
26mommaof2 - i put on is hilarious!!
27Just FYI: Chicago has the highest sales tax. I just had to let everyone know.
28Wow, Chicago's is complex, too. From Wikipedia:
The city of Chicago has the highest total sales tax of all major U.S. cities.[37] It is also one of the most complex. 10.25% is levied on all non-perishable goods purchased, while 2% is levied on qualifying food, drugs, medicines and medical appliances.[37] The Illinois Department of Revenue collects a 3% Chicago Soft Drink Tax and a 1% Metropolitan Pier and Exposition Authority (MPEA) "Food and Beverage Tax", on prepared food and beverage purchases in the downtown area (These "downtown" boundaries are: Surf Street on the north, Ashland Avenue on the west, Stevenson Expressway (I-55) on the south, & Lake Michigan on the east. Furthermore, O'Hare and Midway airports also fall under the 1% MPEA tax district).[38] In addition, the Chicago Department of Revenue collects additional sales taxes on items such as fountain drinks, bottled water, liquor, and cigarettes.
California has 7.25% statewide, 8.25% in L.A. County (higher in some cities). Voters just added 0.5% for a package of transit measures, and the Governor wants to add another 1.5%. Total of 10.25%
Also from Wikipedia, about state income tax rates:
As of 2007, the highest rate of state income tax is that of California, with a maximum rate of 10.3%. Of those states which impose an income tax, the lowest maximum rate is that of Illinois, which levies a flat tax of 3%.
I am already beginning to do more of my shopping online, out-of-state.
29Told ya
