In case you missed it while you were cooking the turkey (or recovering from a turkey-induced coma), the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade got Rick Rolled! By Rick Astley himself! (Lookin' pretty good, I might add. ) As Rick rollin' geeksugar pointed out, I wonder how many people were in on the joke and how many viewers just thought he was singing his hit song from the '80s

Princesse Tam-Tam
Ra-Re

And... Rick rolling officially just jumped the shark.
1ahahhha that was great.
2I thought it was hilarious. I loved that song and I'm not ashamed to admit it! Ha ha.
3I was the only one in the room that understood it and I was cracking up. I was around new company so I bet they thought I was crazy! lol
4I thought that I loved Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends as much as I possibly could. I was wrong! I'm never gonna give them up, never gonna let them down, never gonna say goodbye or desert them.
And Rick Astley did look quite nice!!
5I'm really starting to love that song.
He did look surprisingly nice!
6The combination of "Foster's. . ." and Rick rolling was surprisingly fun, but I have to agree with freakshow. But, then, how can something jump the shark when I was the only one in a room of 15 laughing?
7'jump the shark' translation?
8All I could think of was the clip with Barack Obama on John McCain's speech clip...it made me tear up just like before.
And then I though, hey! he's really cute!
I saw this. it was great - I love the parade!
mesayme: the phrase "jump the shark" means something has reached it's peak and will go downhill from then on. It's a reference to a Happy Days episode from the 70s when Fonzie literally jumped over a shark pool on his motorcycle.
9It's amazing how odd some of these phrases and phenomena in America are... Rick Rolled/ing, Jumping the Shark, what else can we come up with?
10and my husband had to explain the rick-rolling to me, I guess I'm not cool enough to get those emails.
11and you know what, bluebird? I learned the jump the shark thing from watching vh1, lol the number one source for pop culture.
12I don't care how old, how worn Rickrolling it, it's still frakkin' awesome!
13That was brilliant, I love how he's in on the joke. And I like the darker hair! Coat suited him too..but he looks pretty cold.
14The jump the shark thing? isnt fonzie jumping over a shark pool on his motorcycle. He was on skiis in the ocean. duh

16How did rick rolling get started anyway??? I've been hearing about for so long but never knew what it was until my 16 year old brother came to visit last week and told me.
