I'm so excited to tell you that intimacy expert, author and founder of PureRomance.com, Patty Brisben, is joining forces with DearSugar to help us keep the fire burning in our relationships throughout one of the most stressful times of year — the holidays! Patty will be offering one tip daily for the next two weeks so we can learn how to avoid a sex slump of our own and master how to bring the romance back after the holiday stress is behind you.

Check out Patty's first tip below:
As we all know, different types of food have an effect on the libido; this is something especially important to watch over the holidays when many of us over-eat. People tend to be emotional eaters and the holidays are without a doubt an emotional time; better to stock your shelves with some healthy snacks to choose from! Try healthy foods that boost your libido like bananas, celery, avocado, asparagus, basil, figs, pumpkin seeds and garlic.

Any advice for all the visiting during the month and keeping things alive with people around all the time? We had a parent over for the T-giving weekend. We are flying out to visit more family next week. A friend may be coming over for a few days around X-mas. We love being around friends and family since they are all a little distance away... but getting intimate is simply rude when you are visiting people or having guests over. Any tips besides don't plan to spend so much time with these people??
1hmm...I'm going to be stocking up on these for sure!
2LOL - I did not know PureRomance.com was a sex toy site!!! Glad my boss wasn't around!!
3Thanks for posting that Darling, I would have looked it up, and my boss sits just a few feet away. *Phew
4I should try those foods! I don't know about the garlic though, that has certainly never helped romance for me!
