And he's a liberal that got famous saying "doggone it", Sarah Palin's catch phrase. Go figure.

I live in MN UnDave, I'm embarrassed to say. We have possibly the worst candidate for office since David Duke in Al Franken. He's a really bad comedian who didn't live in the state for years, till 2 years ago when he decided to run for Senate. I know this election season has been alot about style over substance, but Franken pushes it too far.

On the other side we have Norm Coleman, the Republican. He can't even beat this clown soundly. Norm is the worst kind of Republican. He votes the party line when it comes to gun control and a couple social issues, but he's a huge fiscal liberal. He backs every hair-brained environmental bill the Democrats dream up. How bad a candidate is Coleman if he can't beat Al Franken without forcing a recount?

The wife and I didn't vote for Coleman. We voted the independent guy, Dean Barkley. Barkley got 15% of the vote. We, with alot of other conservatives, hoped barkley would win and could be a placeholder until we can get a real conservative back in that chair. Unfortunately, it looks like Coleman will hold onto his lead. I guess that's better than Franken winning, but it doesn't solve the problem.

We're really supposed to believe that McCain's people held back against Obama? All they didn't do was hurl racial epithets - I don't think suggesting your opponent is an America-hating, terrorist-loving, socialist of questionable origins shows restraint.

When Franken said 'doggone it', he INTENDED to make people laugh, and they did.

You know what's funny about Al Franken? In the counties that turned in mystery ballots that were found after the election ie, in someone's car trunk and in the back room of the school, Franken is outperforming Obama more than 2-1. It reeks of campaign fraud. That almost makes me want Coleman to win.

He should probably just stick to comedy. His talk radio career didn't fair so well either. He needs to revive the doggone its.

I said all they DIDN'T do was hurl epithets; otherwise, the McCain campaign was unrestrained in its attacks.

Yeah they did attack. To me it was like this, You have a candidate who is promising a lot, and looks good to many people. But, this candidate has no background saying that he will do what he says. He doesn't have much, if any, experience. And so they had to show why he was an untrustworthy personality. I can't say it was the right tactic, but there hasn't been a situation like this in previous apolitical elections to my knowledge. I mean the guy was on the political scene for less than a term of a presidency. It was kind of unprecedented and uncharted territory. I think McCain was fighting a losing battle and it showed in his attacks.
With that said, I pretty much agree with what the McCain camp said other than terrorist loving. Who could love those actions?

I think McCain directly avoided Jeramiah Wright as a topic as it would have brought race to the forefront. Granted, other Republican groups tried to make that an issue, but McCain distancing himself from the Wright issue delegitimized it.
