Harry Potter equals Star Wars? Hell, why would the producers want to make that connection, when "The Lord of the Rings" surpassed Star Wars already? Of course, maybe Harry Potter has a shot
at equalling "Lord of the Rings", considering he's coming from a major British literary source, but I doubt it. It all depends on how the last two films in the series, "The Half-Blood Prince"
and "The Ghastly Hallows", depict the ultimate confrontation between Good and Evil. But I think the films, though destined to be classics, will probably hover somewhere just below Middle
Earth and a galaxy far, far away. So much for aesthetics, however. On to this bit of "humor." And this thing isn't funny because it relies on broad plot generalities to draw parallels. That
wouldn't earn you the funny rejection slip from MAD Magazine. Keep trying, though, and perhaps you'll earn a smile from me. But for now...
Dont thinks so, Lord of the rings is good, even great however nothing tops star wars dude... nothing!!!!!, harry potter is lame, the author condensed a whole load of ideas from various
authors and relabeled the book, ive day dreamed better, and the last beeks were pathetic i only read them to see how they ended.
The end game was poor, the final battle was too common, and seriously how does harry potter compare with LOTR let alone star wars.
And the harry potter movies are so poorly acted, what with the watson chick iminateing windscreen wipers with her eye brows and the potter dude indifferent acting.... makes the phantom menace
forgivable, ( im not jumping the band waggon I liked the prequel movies)
the source image is broken on B3ta, i made this and had it posted up there several years ago. the earlier post quote "That wouldn't earn you the funny rejection slip from MAD Magazine."
Funnily enuff, a few days after this went up on the B3ta board, John Ficcara, editor of Mad magazine, contacted me to 1: ascertain that i had done it, and 2: invite me to become a contributor
to Mad.
Anyhow, enough of the defensiveness, i am off.

1Wow! That's pretty funny. But I still really like the Harry Potter books.
