My problem is that although I think miniskirts are really cute under the right circumstances, my legs are a mile long so wearing a miniskirt emphasizes, even exaggerates, their length and
shape. The problem with that being that no matter what I do, if I wear one, I look like I'm working the corner
I beg to differ in this case. Miniskirts should be left to bar nights, or a nice jean one with thick tights, tall boots and a nice turtleneck works, too.
PS: Oh, austerity! You never miss a chance to mention how good-looking you are, do you? LOL ; )
I think the skirts the only ok thing with that pic..everything else looks 90s to me...the shirt buttoned all the way up, the lipstick, the pale skin, the hair...the SUNGLASSES! Horrific
Oh no, mini skirts would not be a good look for me, (I don't think it's a good look for the girl in the picture either.) I need to do more pilates before I would attempt wearing a mini
anyway. Not with these thunder thighs! lol
quitecontrary~I just mentioned the length of my legs, and I think it is quite relevant to the topic of wearing miniskirts. In fact, I don't think 'looking like you're working the corner'
translates into good-looking at all; quite the opposite in fact. But yes, I see what you're saying as to how I talk about myself in other posts Sorry if I sound cocky at times...it's how I feel about myself, and what's more is I just
can't bring myself to complain about how (fat, skinny, tall, short, this, that) I am, like so many girls in general seem to do! I'd rather have all of them brag themselves silly than engage
in continuous self-bashing!
Austerity- I didn't want to sound harsh! You're one of the great personalities on Sugar! I wish I could have half your confidence (and mile-long legs)! Keep being yourself!

is this woman dressed for work? i think she DOES need permission. she looks like she's about to strip it all off for money.
i wear minis, sure, in the summer, with a tank, a bathing suit, a tshirt, whatever, but not with a blazer and button down!!
1yea I agree that suit is not flattering at all!!
She looks like she'd be in the "Don't" section in Glamour!
2BUT I did love the mini skirt with the leggins look this summer!
3I'd rather see those mini's then the mini's with no leggings that are WAAY too mini!
Yeah, that's a little short for work.

6356UIK -- pale skin is 90s? I guess I'm living in the 90s then, or I just prefer not to get skin cancer haha : P
7LOL sonya..you and me both! blush is my friend!
8They work for me, but not at work, and not in that picture.
9yeah, well, I'm not a teenager or selling...so no thanks.
10hey! a mini is just a couple inches above the knee...that's a micro-mini. and therefore, NOoooo
11If you're going to wear stuff that short and you're showing cheek...it's kind of skanky. Just saying.
I wouldn't ever wear a mini in the first place. Just not the best fit on my body.
12Sorry but she looks Tranny-ish...

19THANK YOU! sometimes a girl likes to spice things up and feel sexy and there's no better way to do that then to wear a mini skirt.
