my boyfriend has a property upstate that he and his father just bought and they are constantly going up there to make improvements and just have a weekend away. when he's gone i usually stay home and clean or watch tv, i work extra hours, and i also go out to dinner with his mom. occasionally i'll make plans to catch up with my friendsone of those nights as well.

To be honest, when that happens I just really like to kick back, watch the movies I love but he hates, listen to the music I love and he makes fun of, and so on. Alone time is good. And I'll read for hours, enjoying the peace and freedom to do so

I honestly use the time to catch up on my sleep, clean the apartment, do laundry, go shopping, get my nails done, etc. I never want to do any of those things when he's in town b/c I'd rather go to dinner, make dinner, go to the movies, parties, etc. I also don't like going out w/o him. He's best friend and it's just not as fun. If I make it out for a drink, I find myself getting bored and heading home for an early night in front of the TV.

My man and I are taking some time off right now and I've used it to catch up on grooming, chick flicks, deep introspective thinking about my life and who I am and what I want (how novel)marathon sister phone calls, feeding myself really good food and exercising. It's actually been really lovely. Also our condo smells like a girl instead of a stinky foot-bonus.
