So this guitar prodigy, Sungha Jung, locked himself in his room for 60 hours after a fight with his mother and learned Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit." He didn't just learn it. He puts an interesting, haunting spin on it. I get in a fight with my mother? I just eat a whole bag of potato chips and drink too much scotch. I guess that's what separates mere mortals like myself from 11-year-old guitar prodigies.

oh i love the finger picking!

i know it looooks difficult to us, but 60 hours to learn such an easy song isn't impressive. I would actually leave that out of the description because it sounds bad.

also, i'm confused about "I get in a fight with my mother? I just eat a whole bag of potato chips and drink too much scotch." WTF?? Are you drunk? I'm not trying to sound rude but I have no idea what you are talking about... they certainly are not the lyrics of the song.

anyway, him being able to play the song in that way (very few people finger pick the melody and rhythym parts!) is amazing and talented!!

Oh I re-read it and realize that you very awkwardly worded that when you get into fights with your mother, instead of locking yourself in a room with a guitar, you eat food and drink. I get it now. Still think you're drunk though.

TidalWave...I think the impressive part is the fact that this is an 11 year old boy. It's not like it is a grown man that has been playing the guitar his entire life. This IS very impressive!!
I wish I could be so talented to do something like this when I get mad at someone...instead I eat!!

I agree with turtlefreak! I saw a bunch of his videos on youtube before and my favorites are "More Than Words" and "Wake me up when September comes." Really, really good!
