Natural disasters... any way you slice it, they are terrifying. I think the worst part about any kind is not knowing what's in store for you and your loved ones, not to mention when they will end. Even if you haven't experienced every kind of natural disaster, we have all seen the kind of devastation a tornado, or an earthquake, a tsunami or a hurricane can cause. So ladies, do tell, what natural disaster do you fear the most?

Tornados, the big ones, like f5!
1Even though I am from San Francisco and have experienced many, earth quakes still terrify me.
2Tornados... I've only ever been in/close to one when I was about 3 visiting relatives oustide of tulsa but it was very very scary... hurricanes I can deal with, but tornados are too much
3Hmm. You know, I have been through hurricanes that have tornados (we could here them but not see them), and they excite me. I dream about tornados often, so I think i would be okay during one, but still a little frightened? Never been through an earthquake. I can't say. probably the earthquake, just because i have no idea what that would be like.

Fires.
5Tornadoes.
[must be exhausting to lose your own game]
6I was in a tornado last year while at school, it was terrible!! not to mention that it completely torn apart my apartment, and i had to replace most of my stuff...
7I acually have a HUGE fear of Tornados , we lived in an area for a few years where during the spring and summer there was a damn warning everyday just about. The skys would turn green and the weather was SO nasty!! I had never seen anything like the weather down south like I did back home. I was so scared everyday and basically lived in hell during the spring and summer down there. So when we moved back home to RI I was so happy, but I still panic for a brief second when ever I hear the Emergency broadcast test on the TV or Radio ,it brings me back to my freaked out mind set in Georgia. And now I hate thunderstorms when before I moved to GA I could have cared less.
8I think Tornado would be my biggest fear. I am scared of earthquakes ... but not as badly.
9Tornados scare me, but I guess I'm kind of used to them, having lived in Nebraska all my life. I think I'd be terrified by an earthquake, though, and I'm really, really grateful that I never experienced one when I lived on the West Coast.
10earthquakes or tsunamis, although I've never been in a tsunami before, only a typhoon.
11I'm a wuss. Everything scares me. I hate lightning. I freak out. I seem to never be around for the earthquakes but they scare me. I think though, that I would go Tornado as the MOST scary thing. They are just so overwhelmingly devastating. At least now structures are made with earthquakes in mind. You can't do a whole lot to protect yourself from a tornado.
12lighting freaks me out! like when i hear a really loud thunderclap and it's dark in my room for god knows what reason (fear of lights going out?) and BOOM! i'm like holy crap! and i grab my dogs and hug them till i'mokay
13CravinSugar, I dream about Tornadoes all them time as well. Also Tsunamis. I always dream that I'm on a beach and all of a sudden the water retracts and I look up to see this huge wave over me. I wake up before it hits me.
Tornadoes and Tsunamis...definitely fearful of them.
14Hey BKNY--
I deram about big waves as well...that is funny. usully the waves are about to take out people i know, not me, i am just there, or have a close call...

I have a fear of tornados! I live in a part of Ontario called tornado alley and have known lots of people who have had their homes and property destroyed by them.
16i was just 10 when the northridge quake hit us hard in '94...even though it was scary, somehow it makes me less afraid of earthquakes than i used to be. so now i'm mostly afraid of tornados.
17We get earthquakes here, but they don't scare me the way driving on ice everyday did when I lived in the Midwest! Now that was scary.
18Tornadoes
19I am the same as Dear. I live in earthquake country and I am still terrified of them even though I am a pro at going through them. There was a freeway that collapsed here about a week ago and seeing the pictures totally brought back memories of the last major one.
20Earthquakes... hands-down. They are terrifying.
21I don't really fear any of them.
22tsunamis for sure. i like in california, so i'm completely used to the earthquakes (although when i was 8, the northridge scared the bejeesus out of me and i couldn't sleep well for months). it's the idea of something that destroys everything in its path that scares me most. earthquakes simply don't do that much damage anymore, so it's interesting just to ride it out! tornadoes scare me as well, though i don't live where there are tornadoes.
23Tornados....
24I've been through hurricanes but something like what happened in New Orleans with the floods would be my biggest fear.
25I think tornadoes followed by earthquakes. Both hit with little or no warning and are scary!
26When I was in GA tornadoes were the big thing to be afraid of. Even though they dont happen often, now that I am here in cali I have to worry about fires. We had 3 fires yesterday one that was very close to my house in corona 1 that was right next to where I just moved from and one that was in hollywood its very scary. And earthquakes. I havent been in one that Ive been able to really feel yet but I know one day it will happen
27Earthquakes..I fear of being crushed alive...and enduring progressive slow pain...
